Great location w/amazing views of the coast

Owners lacked email responses when I'd send inquiries they averaged 3 weeks to reply (or not at all). That was rather disappointing. Hairs in the showers were also a surprise.The rest of our experience was BEYOND AMAZING! If these minor issues were to be fixed...I truly believe this would be one of the upper 1% of BEST PROPERTIES available on VRBO.

It was better than we could have ever imagined!

The host and hostess have set this house up where you have everything you will need. It is perfect. I hated to leave everything you need Is there paradise! We stayed march 27 to April 3We had multi generations for my mom‘s 80th birthday party. It is so private, that we never saw another person the whole week we were thereThe host and hostess set this house up so it has everything you could imagine we can’t wait to go back next year! There are a lot of pros and cons to this property. Pros: View, plenty of space, comfortable beds, fresh flowers in vases upon arrival, laundry, a lot of kitchen cookware, mostly quiet neighbors and books to read. Cons: Hot tub was gone, bathrooms need updating, upstairs bathroom had mold in the shower, no response from owner when we had an issue on property, kitchen cabinets are sticky, propane tanks ran out, unable to light grills, a bit tricky to get out of the driveway safely, patio was dirty and furniture was dirty and had peeling paint, wood rot on many area of both outside patios, no warning that strangers would be coming by to put trash cans to the street, heard critter in the ceiling and walls and instructions for the house not out in the open. I found the instructions buried in a cabinet.

Gorgeous space, major issues with representation and communication

My criteria for my 50th birthday slumber party was to have a view and a hot tub. This property is lovely, but had major undisclosed issues and an unresponsive owner. First, the property was misrepresented because hot tub machinery was laying on the ground, but there was no hot tub. Second the kitchen refrigerator and wifi were not working. The refrigerator was on, but butter was soft. and the freezer contained liquid maple syrup. There was a second working fridge in the laundry room, but this should've been disclosed. Third, cleanliness was overall ok, but there were 2 pair of dirty socks and a pair of dirty women's underwear on a guest bed when we arrived as well as sand bedsheets (the beach is a drive away). I reached out to the owner twice via the VRBO app, and once by phone, with no response. Finally I contacted VRBO and spent four hours on my birthday online chatting, talking on the phone and waiting on hold for over an hour, then being disconnected with no return call. This experience really spoiled my birthday and final day with guests because they waited patiently for me to resolve this instead of going to the beach. Given the 9.4 reviews, I expected the owner to reach out at some point over the last four days but I still have not heard from them. This is very disappointing and while we enjoyed the space and the scenery, this experience was stressful due to being ghosted by the host and space misrepresentation/nondisclosure.

Comfortable Stay

Spacious and comfortable home, perfect for a 3 generation stay for ages 7 to 80. We loved the garden and outdoor spaces. Cozy living room. Ample beach towels and lots of coffee pods!

Lovely Family Getaway

This property was beautiful, roomy, close to local beaches, had great views of the ocean and swimming dolphins, and great outside living/dining spaces. We had a fantastic trip except for a few problems with the home that should be a Red Flag for families with children. * Refrigerator in kitchen was broken and would not cool below 60 degrees. Freezer wasn't working either. We called the owner and got no response. *The property was listed as kid friendly, but when we arrived we found a prescription bottle of pills in a easily accesible cabinet in the dining room. *Empty beer cans, an e-cig, and a used ENEMA were found in a cabinet under the sink in the master bath! *Two tazers were found in the downstairs bedrooms! NOT a KID SAFE property! *One of the bed frames in the downstairs bed was missing a wheel so the bed leaned to one side by 3 inches and the beds were very squeaky. *Jacuzzi Not properly maintained. The water level was low and it was dirty. All of these things are easily fixed if only the owner would respond to our calls/emails.

great home, accurate description and photos

The home is great for families, out in west Malibu, very peaceful with a great view. 4 bedrooms, owner suite upstairs, 3 bedrooms downstairs. beds were comfortable and sheets were clean and crisp. some reviews talk about the owner being slow to respond. I think those are older reviews, since this week I always received a response within 1 hour of posting a message. Perhaps those reviews were from when the host was less experienced, he was great this week. I always worry when a listing seems too good to be true: is it a bad location? are the pictures from an older date when the home was in better shape? my experience was that this property listing is totally accurate. one note: it's fairly far from LA so if you plan on spending time in the city, expect to drive an hour or more one way to do anything. if you are looking to avoid the city and beach traffic, it's perfect. It is also an easy drive to Ventura, which is really nice too. I would stay again if I get the chance.

Family Memorial Day

We wanted to stay somewhere that had some amazing views, we could relax, and yet be close other amenities. The was plenty of towels and large beach towels, things to cook with, and beds are comfort. The home is a little older and the water pressure not the best, but we worked it out. As for cleanliness, there were a few things that may want to have cleaning company spruce up hair and spider webs.

Great place to spend time with family

Got together with extended family in this beautiful home with a gorgeous view. Spent lots of time hanging out on the deck, watched sunsets and enjoying the hot tub. Close to shops, beaches and restaurants.

Beautiful Spot and Home

Great home with plenty of space for a large family. Couple of notes for owner- carpet on upstairs patio deck needs to go- it's in really bad shape. WIFI only worked sometimes. I sent you several messages about this- and was disappointed you never responded- nor to our request for an early check in. However, all in all it was a great experience!

Malibu Dream

Unique and charming abode with lots of space for gathering inside and out. Very relaxing Malibu experience for our family group of eight adults attending a wedding. Host provides excellent recommendations of beaches and restaurants in area. Loved every minute of it.

Beachside getaway

Beautiful property, overall comfortable stay and great location. Wonderful deck to just hang out and enjoy the view. Internet connection is intermittent which didn’t bother me too much. The AC unit upstairs is loud so I would not advise turning it on at night.

Malibu vacation experience

This house was a perfect fit for our family trip to Malibu. The size of the house was why we were drawn to stay here and it provided enough space for everyone to retreat when they needed a break from family. The views were amazing from the 2nd level patio and we were able to enjoy sunset from the hot tub. Some of the appliances were older and need repair, but overall we couldn’t have been happier with our stay in Malibu.

Relaxing paradise

We were looking for a nice escape from Texas heat and a relaxing place for our daughter to getaway from the city for a few days. The home was exactly what we were looking for and matched the description given by the hosts. The view of the ocean was incredible and we enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit each evening. the location was perfect for enjoying multiple beaches and near quite a few hiking trails. We definitely look forward to returning.

Fabulous location and comfortable and cozy home

We had a fabulous time over our three nights. We were celebrating my daughters graduation from Med School and the different spaces in the home and on the decks made it possible to have small groups of meaningful conversation, plus the big dining room table fit all of us. Since it was a pretty gray weekend the many many soft cozy blankets were well used. Purrrrfect.
