The Merced property is in good repair and looked as though areas were being repainted. The property was well maintained, quiet, convenient, with good parking. The room was comfortable, I would stay here again.

I freaky liked the pet friendliness of this motel. I also loved that the non smoking section did not smell like smoke and that there was an inexpensive laundry area toowash our clothes. The only major complaint i have is that the motel is used a lot for sexual rendezvous and the walls are very thin. That was not a great experience for my children.

Older hotel and the outside looks a little dated but the room looked recently updated and was really nice and clean. It is near the highway and a train track so can be a little noisy but it didn’t bother me. Would definitely stay again. Staff was very friendly

Overall one of the nicer Motel6's I've stayed in. I regularly travel with my dogs staying a lot in Motel 6 locations - mostly around California. This room was one of the few without sticky floors, no bugs, and generally cleaner than most Motel 6 we've stayed in. The air conditioning/heating unit had also been recently replaced and looked more modern than most. I interacted with 3 staff members who were very friendly and helpful. It was noisy, but that is true for most Motel 6 (thin walls and traffic), but the person checking me in helped me get the best room available for our needs. Overall, it is a Motel 6, not a Best Western or other, more expensive chain, so don't expect too much, but it was better than many I've stayed in.

I've stayed at a lot of Motel 6 due to your awesome policy about pets. But this one was pretty damn ghetto. The guy who checked me in barely looked at me and put me on the back side of the property by the freeway. That was fine. BUT then people were coming at all hours of the night up to a couple of the rooms in the back. Some people even honked. Anyway, I've never written a review before but something needs to be said. That did not feel safe.

Beeping alarm issue (low battery sound)

It was overall a great stay but my 1st room had a smoke detector beeping every 10-15 seconds and was very loud. I couldn't relax with the sound as it was ear-piercing. Told lady at the front desk and she said it was normal for it to do that. Knowing how a smoke detector works I told her no it's not, it's a low battery sound, can you please fix it. She said the same thing again about it being normal so I requested a new room which was given to me. No other rooms had alarms doing that. So I didn't like the fact that I was told something to me that was totally untrue and that I had to deal with it through the night. If I wouldn't have gotten a new room I'd have asked for a refund and went to the nearest Motel. Overall everything was cool and I was thankful that I got a new room to sleep comfortably. I got the room due to me having stress as the highway 99 was terrible that day 7/3/25 and I got bad anxiety from driving and had to stop. My route from Sacramento to Bakersfield would have taken a total of over 8 hours to drive. Thank you Motel 6 for accommodating me for that night. I slept great!!

The night staff was very kind,&courteous. The room was vary clean,not much amenities like coffee kettle, tea, instant coffee,&shampoo. But anything else is good,quick service, &vary quiet place in a good neighborhood by Costco.
