“Great view great place as advertised”

“We visited Pto Varas for a week in April. Gabriela's apartment was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The whole apartment is thoughtfully furnished and well equipped for cooking and relaxing. The kids enjoyed the heated pool & hot tub (bring swim caps & flip flops, which are required), parking was easily accessible, and the building, which appears to be brand new, was very secure. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. The location can't be beat. Walking distance to the lake,……

“First the positive: the property was largely as advertised, although the hot tub was green and "closed for the season". The neighborhood seemed sketchy to us, and the host made sure we knew it was very important to keep the gate locked at all times. Now the terrible: No communication about check in - I messaged twice through the VRBO app and no reply.
