“We stayed here to be able to attend our daughter's graduation from JMU. The cabin was super clean and had everything you could want while being away from home. We looked forward to coming back to the cabin each evening. Very peaceful and felt like we were in a tree house with all the trees in full leaf bloom. Very pretty area. Would be a wonderful house to come back to stay and relax in especially when didn't have to travel into Harrisonburg so often. The outside amenities were so nice with a……

“The cabin was nicely located on the river, but was a little loud at times from truck noise on the road. Interior was clean and comfortable. The code wasn't updated at check-in, and it took us about 5-10 minutes of standing outside at night to get it resolved. Also, the guest house lights randomly went on during our second evening and shone bright lights into the cabin. Manager did not respond until the next morning.”

“The house was perfect for our weekend with family. There was so much natural light and the fireplace, with firewood provided, was really nice. We enjoyed Shenandoah Caverns, a hike around Laura Lake, and the Rt. 11 Chip Factory.”

“It's out there but this made things quiet except for the cat that kept coming to the porch making us think someone was out there. Once we got our bearings and found our way out and down to the lodge we were fine. Very relaxing as we were in town for a relative going to the local hospital so it was helpful to retreat to the woods to take a breath. Thanks for letting us use your cute house!”

“This cabin was a gem. Beautiful property, well maintained. Cozy inside with great outdoor spaces and deck. Our kiddo loved sleeping in the loft bedroom. Loved the cozy fireplace, the hot tub. The hosts were wonderful, and when we had a issue turning on the gas fireplace, they came right over to light the pilot and fix it. We would love to come back in summer to enjoy wading in the river. “The house has been updated nicely especially bathrooms! Great view and the screened in porch is amazing! The location is fantastic, close to The Guesthouse and the farmer's s market too! If you are planning to cook a lot as we did, there is not a ton of counter space and no dishwasher.”
