High up on the hillside, with glorious views out over Lago Lugano and the city of Lugano, this apartment really does live up to its name. On the first floor of a stylish modern residence, with a shared swimming pool, gym and sauna, there is everything guests need for a relaxing holiday, exploring Lugano.

The three-bedroom apartment sleeps 6 people and is ideal for families. The light-filled corner living/dining room has two glass doors which lead onto the front balcony, where guests can relax on the sun loungers or dine al fresco and the side balcony, with views over the hills. Back indoors in the living room, there are two comfortable sofas, an armchair, a beautiful dark wood coffee table and a side-cupboard plus a widescreen satellite TV. The smart wooden dining table seats 4.

The bright kitchen, with fitted units and pretty tiles, also has French windows leading onto the side balcony. It is fully equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster and a Nespresso coffee machine.

The shared swimming pool is on a terrace with wonderful views out over the lake. It is next to the well-equipped gym and sauna.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The bright master bedroom has a large double bed, a chest of drawers and glass doors leading out onto a private balcony, complete with two sun loungers and views over the lake. There is also an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: A fresh bedroom with a double bed, a traditional wooden wardrobe and a glass door out onto the balcony with views out over the lake.
Bedroom 3: The third bedroom features a double bed.

Location
In the Italian-speaking Ticino canton of Switzerland, the city of Lugano is well known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning natural setting. The property is a 15-minute drive from Piazza Riforma, the main square that is the heart of the city. The piazza is lined with excellent restaurants and lively cafés, where you can enjoy an aperitif and watch the world go by.
The city is home to many museums and galleries. One of the most popular is MASI, The Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland (15-minute drive) which hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions.

Guests might enjoy a swim in the lake at the Lido San Domenico (10-minute drive). Nearby is the ferry stop of the Grotta Elvezia, where you can catch a boat to really appreciate the beauty of the lake. Younger guests might also enjoy a funicular ride up to the peak of Mont Brè with stunning views out over the lake and mountains. The station is a 10-minute drive from the apartment.

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 15 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey.
