Beautiful and restful as always, my partner took the opportunity to learn to fly fish and he caught some nice bass. I enjoyed lounging in the screened-in porch and reading. Location is convenient to Luray and Shenandoah NP

Weekend Getaway

The cottage was a good size and comfortable for me and my wife and two dogs. The water is very close and accessible and was clear as a mountain stream while we were there.Only addition could be a better entertainment system with WIFI.

Labor Day Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. Cute little place at a great location. We had such a relaxing weekend in the water floating and fishing. Perfect screened in porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails.

Relaxing Getaway!

Amazing spot!

What an amazing spot on the river! This place was so amazing with absolutely beautiful view of the river, my city wife was so awestruck by this place she immediately started searching for a place for sale in the general area. I got a very strong feeling we’ll be doing another stay at this awesome place later this year.

Cute little cottage

The cottage was cozy and very clean, steps from the river…we enjoyed sitting by the river and fishing. Sitting in the screened in porch having our coffee in the morning was a great start to our day.

River Relaxation

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay over July 4th at this lovely waterfront cottage. The screened porch was the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening night cap and the kitchen was well equipped to cook in. Fyi, no wifi and our Verizon cell service was essentially non existent, so come prepared to be offline until you head in to town.

Max relaxation on the river

This is a lovely property right on the water. It was perfect for our 4 person family and dog. We loved relaxing on the screened in porch and exploring the river banks. The zero entry river bank was perfect for our water loving dog to explore. We even took our paddle boards up river to check out the small islands, turtles, and birds. It was a great location in regards to the national park entrance and downtown Luray. Just buckle up for the bumpy dirt road drive in! Spotty cellphone service kept us off our phones and enjoying the moment; just make sure to do your Google searching for attractions before you get to the property.

Quiet Comfort

Cabin was as listed with plenty of towels and little touches. Cooking pans were on the better side, which is unusual for a rental. Screened porch gives guests a chance to enjoy the serene atmosphere without the issue of nature's little biting critters. Bed was comfortable and after figuring out where the heat source was, it kept us very comfortable. Plenty of space for the two of us.

New Years Weekend Getaway

Check-in was a breeze. The heat was on when we got there, fresh towels, linen, and a fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed using the outdoor charcoal grill for our New Years Eve feast. Our dog loved sniffing around and going down to the river. I wish it would have been warm enough to sit on the screened in porch, it was lovely! Very cozy, we will be back to enjoy it in the warmer months!

Lovely vacation on the river

This is a perfect place for a family or a few friends to spend relaxing days outdoors. This property is close to everything—Shenandoah National Park, Luray caverns, and tons of great wineries (Castle Vinyards is highly recommended!)The house is decorated nicely and there are a few sitting areas for socializing. The kitchen was outfitted with everything I needed. The bedrooms are cozy with comfortable mattresses. The tile floors throughout are perfect for keeping everything clean. Outside there are a couple places to enjoy a fire and cook up some s’mores. And though the riverfront beach is not ideal for fishing, I still caught a few small bass with a small spinner around dusk. My favorite activity, though, is just relaxing on the screened-in porch and enjoying the view of the river. You just can’t beat that. I will definitely book this cabin again, it has something for everyone.

Great Location

Clean and organized cottage, everything you need for a pleasant stay. Just be aware no wifi and no cell phone reception inside the house and poor reception outside (Verizon). There is a couple of miles to drive on unpaved and at time rough terrain but we did not have problems with our minivan.Great location right in front of the river. Host was prompt in communicating with us. Better get there for the first time with day light because at night is very dark and difficult to find the cottage. We will book again.

Lovely cabin!

We arrived after dark and did miss the sign so we found it on the way back. It just added to our adventure! The place was very clean and and the heat was on and waiting for us! The view from the porch is to die for, the sound of the gentle flowing river was perfect for our girls getaway. We had hoped for WiFi since there’s zero cell signal, just to check in with our kids back home. That’s the only thing I might suggest. The break from phones ringing was welcome though. We had a great time, went hiking at Little Devils Stairs and highly recommend! I will be renting this place again!

Wonderful stay in this perfect cabin!

My spouse and I needed a few days at the Shenandoah River and this cabin was perfect. Keith and Stephanie communicated well and everything was ready for us on arrival. The cabin was spotless. S'mores makings greeted us on the kitchen table, and the coffee pot was even prepared for the morning! This cabin offers many areas to relax - the comfy seats and bistro table on the screen porch provided great views of the river, and of the fawn who visited us a few times. The chaise lounges by one of the fire pits were so comfy for reading after our time on the river. The river access is PERFECT - not just close to the river but easy when carrying our kayaks since there are no stairs or major inclines! We enjoyed listening to the river riffles and crickets' songs when in bed at night. The kitchen is complete with everything you need and all was in great condition. We are already planning our next stay at the Riverfront Cottage.
