Lovely pub and very nice room looking over the water and the nearby marina with a big comfortable bed and beautiful spacious bathroom. All the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The weather was very ‘British’ (wet and windy!) during our short stay, so we loved the cosy ambience of the bar and the beautiful open fire. Ate there both nights and were grateful that the food was very good, meaning we didn’t need to venture outside. The second evening, having eaten out during the day, we didn’t need a full meal so ordered a selection of starters to share, Tapas style, which wasn’t a problem and just the right amount of food for us. We chose this pub for its proximity to Buckler’s Hard, which is only a few miles away and well worth a visit. Due to the time of year, our midweek stay and the weather, the place and surrounding areas were quiet, but we imagine the pub itself and everywhere around it would - deservedly - be heaving in the summer.

Great location for a range of activities in Lymington. Easy access to the Marshes as well as the town. Large double room was clean and quiet. Enjoyed our stay very much. Would recommend.

Clean room, good food especially breakfast, freshly cooked, not kept warm. Plenty of parking, friendly staff. My only criticism in room 1, was the lack of a clear surface to put our items on. The only table had the tea tray covering it. Window sill was above radiator. Butcombe loyalty club is worth signing up to. We hit lucky being there for my birthday, so £20 off our drinks. We were also there on a wednesday, so 25% off food. We would stay again.

Had a great short stay here . The team were great in particular James made breakfast a very friendly and great experience. Nothing too much trouble for all of the team !!! Room was great and the fog properly welcome . Will be going back here !!!

Just okay. Decor is starting to look tired throughout, although it was clean. What there was of breakfast was very good, but it was simply a one plate cooked breakfast and tea - nothing else. Staff were excellent but overall it didn’t feel great value even considering it’s New Forest.

We had a fantastic stay at the Mayflower. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent. It's close to numerous walks around Lymington & Keyhaven nature reserve. We will be back.

The whole property was amazingly tastefully decorated..the staff were all very friendly..the room was very spacious with a very large comfortable bed..very modern bathroom...tray with bottled water, tea, cafetiere coffee, milk sugar..fridge in wardrobe...very tasty breakfast...would highly recommend and will definitely return...

Fab stay!!

Fab stay at the Mayflower. Excellent service, always met with such joy and helpfulness. Would gladly stay again! Had dinner twice with excellent food and great ambiance, quite relaxed so suitable for children and babies. breakfast was amazing also!

Very comfortable two night stay.

Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our stay.Was greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our room which had a balcony with lovely views of the sea and Isle of Wight in the distance. Room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Had dinner one of the evening’s and I must say was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had,My wife had the fish and chips and was as happy as me with her choice. Breakfast was very nice too. Lovely big beer garden with plenty of seating area. Would definitely visit The Mayflower again 5 ⭐️

Shabby chic gone shabby

The overall condition of the hotel was appalling, from the minute you draw up outside and then climb the stairs to the overrated oddly decorated room. The staff were beyond amazing and the food was excellent, and the room itself was spotless. Such a shame about the initial sight, and the filthy hall and stair carpet. And the lack of any comfort in the bedroom except for the bed. And why is the bathroom mirror almost on the ceiling? All I could see was my forehead. It was a perfect situation for a lovely stay. What a shame it is going to rack and ruin.
