“A great place to stay for us as a stop over on the way to France via the tunnel (20 mins drive).Really comfortable beds, very clean, newly renovated, with a small sitting room and two beds with 2 bathrooms. Just what we were looking for and they let dogs stay. We usually stay in a Premier Inn but this was far better value, plus the pub downstairs was excellent. Good choice of beer, great food and perfect hospitality - what more could you ask for?? Fully recommended!”

“Host cancelled a few hours before check in, after we had already travelled to the location. Absolutely disgusting treatment, they claimed to have double booked the property but how is that possible to only discover that on the day of check in? Owner should be banned from Vrbo”

“We left after just 4 hours because the property was nothing like the listing. The photos give a far better impression than the reality. Before arrival, I had to chase the host for check-in instructions as nothing had been sent. Even after calling, I was only given the key safe code. Later that day, after we’d already left, I received an email stating there was a £100 charge per pet, despite the Hotels.com listing clearly advertising “pets go free.” The property appeared to have had only……

“Please be aware that you need to upload a passport online to a third party company for every person over 16 that is staying at the property. We were not aware of this until after the free cancellation period was over. There is no mention in the listing or confirmation that the passport would be the only document accepted. We were uncomfortable doing this with all the online identity theft that is prevalent today. The communication with the property was poor. We messaged several times through……

“We had the best stay for my wife's birthday. Lovely surroundings, peace and quiet. The Rumwold hut was beautifully presented and well kitted out with everything you'd need. Helping to feed the lambs was just wonderful. Will certainly look to go and stay again.”

“We came for our 10 year anniversary and It was the best staycation I’ve ever had. So natural, peaceful, enjoyable and a real break from reality. We had the best time and the little details are so thought out even down to all the info you’re sent before your stay that you can save as an app to your phone. The lambs are the cutest especially when they get zoomies of an evening. Bed was super comfy. The food boxes are lovely too. 10/10 and will be returning”
