We had a great stay at Hostal Atocha Almudena Martín in Madrid. The location was absolutely perfect—right in the center of the city, within walking distance of major attractions like the Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor, and Retiro Park. It was also close to public transport, which made getting around incredibly easy. The hostal itself was clean, comfortable, and offered everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Our room was quiet and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, and reliable Wi-Fi. It was a simple setup, but thoughtfully arranged and very cozy. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything we needed. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Overall, Hostal Atocha Almudena Martín is a fantastic option for anyone looking to stay in central Madrid without breaking the budget. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return on our next trip to the city!

Fantastic location for a nice little hostal

Last minute booking due to a scheduling problem caused by Lufthansa, so we managed this reasonably near Atocha train station for a good price. There are several other hostals in the building and lots of others along the street, plenty of great food in the area and lots of shopping. The room was nicely appointed, and a good private bathroom. We had a very short stay but this would be an excellent location for a longer visit to Madrid with the Prado, Parque del Retiro, and Puerta del Sol very nearby.

The taxi driver and I could not find the hostel. The sign next to the door has 3 different names and only 7 inches in size. Later found there was a sign but 40 feet up on top of building which is almost impossible to see. The rooms are bare, musty and smell s like smoke. No soap in the bathroom. Towels hard and starchy. Can't get in the front door with key. Stay if you are desparate.

la manguera de la ducha no funcionaba y pues salia a pedir solucion o un cambio de habitacion, y la encargada me ha dicho de todo, muy ofensivo, incluisive dciendo que por lo que habia pagado que esperaba::: patetico, luego me dio una jarra para que la llenara y me echara el agua. demasiado ruidoso. Aun estoy esperando la factura,Pague en efectivo. No me gusto nada ni la ubicacion ni la experiencia.NO volvere !

Tiene una ubicación excelente el único detalle es que las habitaciones solo las separa una tablaroca y desafortunadamente se escucha todo, otro detalle es que mi hija lloro un día en la noche y los huéspedes de a lado se quejaron pero el personal de recepción dio mi nombre sin ninguna autorización

Alojamiento básico

La habitación es tal cual las fotos, solicite una cuba para mí bebé y me la dieron sin problemas y gratis. Lo malo es que el cuarto doble con baño privado era muy pequeña, tenía todo los indispensable para unas noches de estadía. La cuna estuvo en una ubicación que no podía supervisar a mi bebé por las noches , motivo por el cual tenía que levantarme cada cierto tiempo para ver qué el bebé esté bien. Me tocó una habitación que No sentía bulla, se podía descansar bien, con un aventana grande que entra iluminación. El frigobar estaba muy bien para las bebidas. El baño amplio y limpio. El aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien. Personal de limpieza, muy atento.
