The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to most major attractions. The hotel itself offers a nice serene stop to chill and rest between all the sightseeing. The beds were comfortable, shower pressure was great and for European rooms, the size was pretty decent. Recommended for a comfortable stay in central Madrid.

Palacio San Marin Hotel is a great place to stay in Madrid, especially if you intend to visit the old city around Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. Close to the opera, you can enjoy tapas and outdoor seating at charming cafes and bistros. The hotel is comfortable, and the lobby-bar area is great for having a drink, reading a book, or refreshing yourself after a day of trekking along the innumerable alleys of Old Madrid.

Had an excellent experience at this hotel. Arrived much earlier than scheduled check-in, but was greeted by a friendly face and voice at reception. He even got us our room right away. Hotel is unassuming looking from the outside, but they’ve done a great job with the lobby/foyer area. Room was excellent and comfortable. The location is excellent if you’re looking to be close to Centro with all the attractions and cafés. We would stay there again for sure.

Good location and nice staff. The A/C of the room is very noisy, and sound isolation is not the best. We also needed umbrellas for the rain which were not provided.
