Crabapple Daze is in a quiet residential community with EASY year round access on a cobble road off of Moody farm Rd that leads you from downtown Maggie Valley with all its restaurants and shops to this wonderfully cozy getaway. The Bungalow has two bedrooms with Queen beds with a cozy bathroom. A fully stocked Kitchen provides all the comforts of home, The gas firepit and Hot Tub are warm & cozy for those chilly nights on the porch.

Just a few minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In less than 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

Just a 25 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around and a Bowling Alley for Family Fun), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

Not even 40 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries.
Approximately, 50 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.

You are only 1 hour 30 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).

The hot tub was very pleasant although it took an entire day to heat enough to use. The home is nicely decorated but had many minor maintenance issues; non-working outlet, broken bathroom sink plug which was very dirty, bathroom mirror needing replacement. There were no instructions about how to use the heating and cooling features. No cutting board, dull knives. Washing machine was broken. The location was pleasant and quiet. The deck was nice with a gas firepit.

When we opened the door and stepped inside, I thought the place was dirty. The couch had a picnic blanket tossed on it. I think it was for protection from pets. The arms on both the chair and sofa were filthy with dirt. Just seeing this made me want to leave. The carpet in the first bedroom was stiff with dirt and maybe trying to wash it. As my mate went to bed, he found used toothbrushes in the medicine cabinet. Under the sink was tacky, and a piece of that dirty carpet had been glued to the floor. However, it did not cover the whole floor, so I wonder what was under it—the mirror on the medicine cabinet had black spots all over the bottom portion. I tried to clean them off, but they were still there because the mirror had peeled off. They were distracting trying to put on make up and comb your hair. There was a curtain separating the bedroom. The second bedroom was added from part of the porch, so I guess they put up a curtain in the doorway rather than a door to save money. You had to go through the first bedroom to enter the second one. The washer-dryer was out of order! I couldn’t sleep in the bedrooms. I felt the spread was dirty. I could have been wrong on that just because of the color. Grayish. The next morning, I was making my yogurt, reached into the cutlery drawer, and came out with a spoon that the back of was covere with peanut butter. Under the kitchen sink, it could have used a cleaning. There were signs of water damage around the floor and cabinets.

Wonderful stay and fabulous neighbors !

We stayed the 2nd-7th and had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect and clean, the neighborhood was amazing and the neighbors were super friendly, its a beautiful and very relaxing spot with low noise, the fire pit,gas grill and hottub was an awesome bonus, and Carroll is very easy to get ahold of with quick response and extremely nice so i rate it 5 stars my 3yrd,wife and I had a wonderful time! Thank you Mr. Carroll !!!

Misleading

We left early. This is not a bungalow, cottage or cabin. It’s a very small and aged mobile home. Everything from couch to beds is old and cheap. Other than the bugs I will say it was clean. There were both dead and live bugs in the bathroom and bedroom. If I had paid much less I could understand this. This rental was so unbelievably overpriced bc of both the rate and the cleaning fee. Hope this is a helpful review for anyone thinking of booking.

Convenient Location in Maggie Valley

Overall; this was a very clean property with everything supplied that you would typically need. It's located in a quiet neighborhood; that is essentially a nicer mobile home park.There were miniblinds on all the windows, although some of them weren't in great operating condition. Half of the unit still had carpet, which isn't the best option for a place that allows pets. Lastly, the two bedrooms are separated with a curtain. And you have to pass through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom.Just things to be aware of that we didn't really expect.Still a good value for a couple that is mostly there to explore during the day, and enjoy the hot tub and a movie in the evening.

Amazing little cabin!

First, it was easy to book, response was quick. The place was very clean!! Small and cozy. The neighborhood is extremely quiet loved that. The hot tub was clean!! The only issue we had the single keurig coffee maker was malfunctioning so we had to use the regular pot coffee but that’s not a big deal to me they had both machines available.I would stay here again!

Good But...

It's a nice small home, but there are some simple things that could make it better. A few more pictures could be taken of the surroundings, more toiletpaper, paper towels, dish soap, fiplease get some of the clorine and salt out of the hot tub. Maybe add a simple slide door, because the back room is closed by a curtain rode that you can tell a few holes had been drilled to put up the rode that didn't work. The fire pit was great.

Adorable little place, well represented by online photos. Incredible experience waking up to elk in the back field. Only downfall seen is privacy if we had ended up using second bedroom. With no door separating rooms and sharing a bathroom. However it was just us so it was not an issue. Would stay there again!
