A bright spacious private timber cabin, on a beautiful 11acre off-grid property!
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful cabin in a gorgeous location! Elke had lit the fire for us already so it was warm and welcoming. Has everything you need, including lots of firewood to stay warm - the bathroom is very cold though, so take slippers and jumpers. Braidwood is a nice town to visit and get some supplies, then we spent most of our time reading and watching the birds. The little trail through the woods is a good outing, but the guidebook isn't lying when it says to watch out for leeches - they WILL crawl up your trouser leg, they WILL bite you *through* your sock, and they WILL drop off several hours later so well fed that you'll think you accidentally brought a slug in. Even with this leech this was a perfect winter getaway and we can't recommend it enough!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed a stay at Marguerite House. The location was perfect for wandering around Braidwood, and the home itself was perfect for our family of five. There was a brown out on our first night there, and Jacqui was amazing at keeping us up to date with the situation, which was fixed by the local power provider quickly. All in all, it was a very relaxing and comfortable stay."
A bespoke, luxe, off-grid cabin beside Monga National Park. Mins to Braidwood

"Elke is the most wonderful host, with prompt and helpful communication. Even the beautiful pictures and accurate description of the property do not do it justice, there is creative detail and care in every corner. We spent two cosy evenings there, warmed by the beautiful wood fire, watching the brightest stars in the sky we have ever seen, admiring the beautiful interiors and artworks created by the hosts, and enjoying the lack of digital distractions. The guest book is filled with heaps of helpful information, we loved the coffee at Deadwood and the trail to Big Hole and Marble Arch. Thank you, Elke and Christopher, we hope we’ll be back! Louise and Dave"
"The house was beautifully styled and was very comfortable and cosy. All the rooms were very well equipped with all the necessities required for a comfortable stay. The garden was gorgeous, great for quality family time. The host Sarah was very easy to communicate with. Check in and out was very smooth. Thank you! "
