“My room was the first room in the corridor. The corridor was having a door which was heavy. Each time people came in or went out through the corridor, the door slamming loudly. One morning, other guests might need to catch a very early morning flight, and woke me up. Other than the door all other things were good. Staff were friendly.”

“Entry carpet was worn and dirty but mostly the unit was very clean. Lighting in bedroom and bathroom could have been brighter.”

“The hotel is a gem. As soon as you enter you know you are entering an opportunity for experience, not an average run of the mill hotel. The artwork is not just high end indigenous art, but rather meaning and purpose. Every staff person greeted us warmly and personably. There is no sense that anyone has been trained by Disney standards. This hotel is being owned by indigenous council. The staff stated that they are stewards. It is very evident. It is unusual to find a place so outstanding. We……

“We had a beautiful room with a balcony facing the water. We were treated to a pod of dolphins and an orca viewing in the morning. Warm and friendly home base for exploring Alert Bay. Walkable from the ferry as we went on foot. Quiet on a Sunday but exactly what we were after. We missed the summer crowds and felt like we had the bay to ourselves. Highly recommend hanging your hat at the inn.”
