This is a wonderful hotel. All the staff are very kind. We had a two-year-old child with us, and they were incredibly considerate of our child. It was a wonderful family trip. We were relieved to hear that they were very considerate and understanding, even though we are Japanese and not very good at English.

The view was amazing. The water was crystal clear. The staffs were friendly. Super easy to swim in the ocean. Just didnt see any fish. Our butler Sue was amazing and super helpful. She gave us a detailed tour of the island, help us find vegetarian food and booked us a trip to a nearby island for food. All the restaurant staffs were helpful to accommodate our vegetarian diet.

We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful hotel. The staff were all great, but a special mention to Vishan who was always on hand to help us book our dinner reservations, suggest ideas and experiences. Alongside him, we must say Luna was wonderful with her welcoming smile and attentive nature, alongside Brayan (always smiling) at lunchtimes and then in the evenings Massie (so sorry if I spelt his name wrong!) always taking time to speak to us, with interesting stories and even making some lovely gifts with leaves for our daughter! The spa area was also superby and treatments blissful in a lovely setting. A truly memorable stay - a dream holiday made possible by the beautiful location, amazing hotel facilities, but especially by the fantastic staff!

Several safety issues which the resort management wasn’t concerned about it. I got severely injured. Poor food choices and limited. Main restaurant was not for a 5 star resort, looks old and depressing. Safety… safety. Very expensive but quality of a 3 star hotel. I stayed during same trip at 3 resorts and SO MALDIVES made me leave Maldives with several injuries and bad taste. I would not recommend anyone to get near this place is a waste of time and money. No thank you.

Leider entsprach dieses Resort in keiner Weise unseren Erwartungen – insbesondere nicht bei dem sehr hohen Preisniveau. Die Auswahl an Restaurants war extrem eingeschränkt, das Essen qualitativ enttäuschend und teilweise überteuert. Vielfalt oder besondere kulinarische Erlebnisse, wie man sie in dieser Preisklasse erwartet, gab es nicht. Das Design und die gesamte Atmosphäre wirkten lieblos und keinesfalls luxuriös. Auch der Wellness- und Poolbereich konnten uns nicht überzeugen und boten keine echte Entspannung. Besonders enttäuschend war der Umgang mit Kritik: Anstatt lösungsorientiert zu reagieren, wurden Probleme öffentlich und unprofessionell angesprochen, was sehr unangenehm war. Ein Entgegenkommen oder Service auf Augenhöhe blieb trotz frühzeitiger Abreise aus. Für den gezahlten Preis hätten wir deutlich mehr Qualität, Service und Kulanz erwartet. Wir würden dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen und würden uns bei einer erneuten Malediven-Reise definitiv für ein anderes Resort entscheiden.

Think Twice

This hotel is definitely not 5 star... The service from management was terrible before arrival. We had to send numerous emails to arrange our transfer. Further they charge an extortionate amount for the transfer $250 return trip that takes 15 mins. We paid $50 for a return trip to Maafushi on a similar boat. Altough individual staff including our MEM were friendly, the management was not good. I would definitely not recommend this resort.

The service staff were very polite. The food was middle of the road with some exceptions. The room had excellent layout. Although we chose a bungalow facing the city which received heavy winds for our 3 day stay. So we were unable to enjoy the outdoor patio. That could have been bad luck. Snorkelling is limited as the resort does not have a house reef. The most serious issue was the staff practice of texting while driving the carts. In one example, the driver was a texting without her hands on the wheel while another worker was sitting right beside them (we have a photo). In another case, we observed an employee reverse while texting right into the path of another cart. I had to yell to advert a collision. It appears the inappropriate use of cell phones goes right to the top. When greeted by the manager during an evening event, he repeatedly looked at his phone and sent texts mid-conversation (no exaggeration). It was obvious he was not paying attention to us. The only consolation is that after speaking to us, he walked over to the group next to us, and did the same thing! This resort has fantastic potential. So this could have been as good as any 5 star experience. Accor needs to send somebody to this property monitor service execution. I could say more about the food, but in all honesty, they are small matters that can be easily fixed. Interestingly, when the manager asked us about the food, we said we had suggestions, but he did not follow up with questions.

We recently stayed at the SO/ Maldives Resort and wanted to share my feedback to help improve future guest experiences. 1. Room Reservation Issue: I booked a water villa specifically for a private vacation with my husband. However, upon arrival, the room I booked was unavailable, and I was offered an upgrade to share a larger house with my friends. While the villa was stunning, it did not provide the privacy I was seeking, which was a key reason for choosing your resort. 2. Boat Transfer Experience: Our group had arranged a private boat transfer. Unfortunately, on the return trip to the airport, we had to share the boat with other guests due to a delay in my checkout process. This resulted in other guests yelling at me for making them late, which was a stressful and unpleasant experience to end the vacation. I appreciate the beauty of the resort and the effort put into making it luxurious, but these issues detracted from the privacy and exclusive experience I was expecting. I hope you take this feedback into account to improve service consistency for future guests.
