Absolutely loved this house. Beautiful, fit 8 people more than comfortably. Very spacious, filled with games, amazing hot tub in community, and close drive to the mountain. My friends and I will definitely be back!

Nice Property, But a Couple of Issues

We travel to Mammoth often and have stayed in many properties. At first, we were very happy because this one is decorated well with luxury furnishings and is beautiful. The unit is multi-leveled so it's nice to have some separation of the bedrooms and each bedroom has it's own bathroom. Also, it is in a great central location and we loved that it had a garage. Overall, the property was good but we discovered that there were a couple of issues (at least for us). I saw in the listing that there was no cable TV, which wasn't a problem because we could stream, but I didn't realize that there's only one TV located in the living room for the entire unit. Our family has a wide age range of kids so this made it challenging when trying to find something to watch that everyone could enjoy. At least one more TV would be great, and it's interesting that there are cable cords visible in the master bedroom, so it seems the owners bring out an additional TV for themselves? Also, we were visiting in the summer when it's really warm and this unit doesn't have any fans, with the exception of a ceiling fan in the living room. We know that most properties in Mammoth do not have A/C but with no fans anywhere, the loft and master bedroom (due to it getting full sun all day) were absolutely miserable! We tried opening all of the windows but found that many of them were missing screens. We didn't want to let mosquitos in so we had to keep these windows closed, making it more uncomfortable. Eventually, we went and bought four fans but it would be nice if some were provided. Lastly, there are signs posted all over regarding the "house rules" telling guests what is not allowed/what not to do and the penalties that will be implemented. It seemed excessive and feels unwelcoming. Sadly, if guests choose to disrespect or damage your property, signs all over telling them what to do or not do, is not going to help. In addition, the kitchen table is covered with plastic, again making us feel like the owners think guests are going to damage it. It just made us feel like they don't really want renters and we could potentially be fined for the slightest thing. Overall, the property was nice, but I'm not sure that we would stay here again (definitely not in the summer)!
