"While the property is well presented and the rooms and housekeeping very good, the same cannot be said about the staff. The front desk reception staff member spent over 10 minutes on a phone call before acknowledging my presence (and another guest checking in at the same time) and providing the room key. The staff in general around the property seem very ambivalent - customer service is certainly not part of their mantra."

"Stunning stay with family for a winter getaway. This property provided us with the most peaceful, idyllic location with everything that we needed. We found the beds very comfortable, and the shower was excellent (although we did run out of hot water after two 15min showers). We loved the use of the kayaks, too (yes, it was cold!) Overall, would highly recommend this place for a true Kiwiana experience."
