The Brite Building
The 3800-square-foot apartment is located above the Ayn Foundation (which houses several Andy Warhol artworks) and offers an expansive retreat that is similar in spirit to El Cosmico, but with more walls.
The unit has two bedrooms with king beds and private bathrooms, as well as generous living, kitchen, and dining rooms, panoramic windows, and the elegant convergence of art deco and West Texas minimalist design. The Brite Building comes with all of the El Cosmico touches free wifi, our beloved custom robes to lounge around in during your stay, and other good stuff.
El Cosmico is a 21 acre nomadic hotel and campground in Marfa, Texas. In keeping with the belief that life should be a balance of adventure and do-nothingness we offer shelter, occasional entertainment, opportunity for learning/doing/making, and access to the majesty of the high plains desert. From its wide open spaces to the vast canopy of stars above, El Cosmico provides temporary liberation from the built world. It is second home to intrepid travelers and wanderers from all corners of the planet.
Accommodations at El Cosmico include renovated vintage trailers, , The Brite Building, The Cosmic Kasita, safari tents, Sioux-style tepees, Mongolian yurts, and tent campsites. El Cosmico also offers several communal spaces for guests – a hammock grove, an outdoor kitchen and dining area, a community lounge and mercantile, and an outdoor stage. Please note that the Brite Building is located off the property.
The rate is based on 4 occupants. Maximum occupancy is 8 people.
For more than 4 guests, single roll-away platform beds will be provided for an additional $20 per person per night.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome in the unit - the cost is $10 per dog and includes beds and bowls for use during the stay.
