Amazing riad, would definitely recommend. The staff were very helpful, especially Anass who helped us with the airport transfer and taxis to our next location. The location was perfect, only a short walk to the souks and main square.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the ryad was very clean and the breakfast was good and freshly cooked. The property would have been hard to locate, so the airport transfer was worth it.
A convenient location. Service was good. Anas and the owner’s son were attentive. However please ensure facilities have been checked regularly. Food and atmosphere was great.
Honestly so amazing, the staff are wonderful and so helpful! The decor is beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. The housekeeper cleans the rooms everyday so once you get back for a day of exploring your bed in freshly made which was amazing. Breakfast is very simple but still very nice, I really enjoyed it all.
Really well maintained Riad with incredible staff! Located right in the middle of a busy riad so can be challenging to find at first. 10-12 minute walk the main square. Not a lot of taxi options immediately outside but you get the authentic ambiance of a riad and incredible staff. Thank you !
The staff are wonderful! Anass was so kind and helpful, he really went out of his way to make us comfortable. The markets and square are minutes away by foot. The Ryad is beautiful, very clean and tranquil. I highly recommend Ryad Selyen. Come prepared to walk and bring a flashlight if you are out past dark.
The staff was incredibly helpful during our stay, especially Anas, who always offered Moroccan tea. Yacine provided excellent service even before arriving at the riad; he helped arrange transportation to our day trip to the Agafay desert and the airport. The traditional breakfast is incredibly delicious and from the shared spaces to the private rooms, the facility was comfortable and inviting. This riad is located in the Medina, making it feasible to walk around to the souks, the square, and numerous restaurants and rooftops during our stay. I highly recommend!
A unique stay as it coincided with the Morocco earthquake and most of one night was spent outdoors. Staff were solicitous of our safety and breakfast was served normally the next day. The property is in the heart of the souk and the alleyway approach was affected by rubble, which was promptly cleared within 3 days. The stylish decor, helpful staff and rooftop pool are all massive positives if you can cope with the hustle and bustle outside.
Just back from a great 4 nights stay here! We couldn’t fault anything. There was a small problem with our airport transfer but that was rectified quickly and because we arrived late into the airport a staff member came to meet us to walk from the taxi to the riad. The room was very comfortable and cleaned every day. Breakfast was varied each morning and was great to try some local foods including mint tea. The riad also has a small rooftop pool where we enjoyed cooling down at the end of a very warm day.
Anas, Aziz and Aziza (we hope we’ve got these names right) couldn’t have been more helpful. From calling restaurants for reservations, advising us on taxis and things to do in the local area and helping us get boarding passes printed etc they made our stay!
Honestly, loved this property and everyone that works there. The time I was there it felt like I was a part of their small family. Beautifully done interior and well taken care of, in terms of cleanliness that always made me feel like I was transported into another world as I stepped in.
My only issue was the location. It's deep inside the Medina. It's truly on me as I didn't research much before booking. Every time I wanted to go somewhere or get a cab I had to walk at least 10 mins to the Jemaa el-fna. It would've been fine only if it wasn't 40-degree weather me being 6 months pregnant. Also, the 10-minute walk is also not a nice walk either. It's a bit chaotic but nothing unexpected for Morocco.
I would say anyone who's considering this property, do your research properly about the location and if you are okay with walking.
Good value. And great location in the Medina
Staff is very nice and helpful. The ryad is not accessible by car, but the staff will meet you and help you with your luggage.
The Ryad is down a dirty narrow alley which can't be reached by taxi or Tuk Tuk so heavy bags can be a problem. The Ryad has very little management with limited english so when available it was difficult to make your wishes known but mostly during the day only cleaning staff were availablw to let us in or to ask questions. The Ryad had no tourist information or maps or advice for tourists especially as GPS was generally difficult for getting around. On the final day we waited at the Ryad for several hours for a late night flight...as we had checked out of our rooms we were offered no refreshment and no use of toilets (other than staff toilets....not ideal) for 3 hours. Disappointing.
Amazing Ryadin the old medina. Definitely recommended! Anas and Aziz were amazing at fulfilling all our weird requests.
The breakfast we delicious and fresh every morning and if we wanted specific fruits Hind, the maid would head to the market and buy them for you as well.
The room was extremely clean and the beds were super comfortable. It’s in a decent location not far from the local markets and restaurants. Quite close to Jemaa El-Fna and the nearest place to get a taxi is only a 10 min walk from the Ryad.
Would definitely recommend this Ryad to anyone wanting to stay in Marrakesh.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
It was in a very small alley way where at night it was empty and scary to walk back as girls.
