"The hotel is very pretty and charming and in an amazing location along the waterfront. I was really looking forward to staying here. However, to my disappointment, I didn't have a great experience. There seems to be little soundproofing between floors. There was a lot of commotion above me to the point that I thought they were remodeling. But, what made my experience just bad was that sometime between 3-3:30am I was awoken out of a sound sleep to large banging that literally shook the walls of my room to the point that I called the front desk. However my room phone didn't work and had to use my cell phone. The night desk attendant was very kind and I appreciated that he looked into it. It's a mystery what it was. Early in the morning, I could hear running foot steps above me. Just strange for a large hotel to have this issue. While the late night front desk attendant was excellent, the reason I gave the 3 star for staff was the check-in attendant that I had wasn't friendly or welcoming. He just waved me over. If I didn't initiate the greeting, I'm not sure he would have said hello to me. He didn't tell me anything about the hotel, amenities, restaurant, etc. The other attendant that was helping a couple check-in was telling them all kinds of things and seemed super friendly. It's a beautiful hotel and I don't really understand why the hotel has the issues that I experienced. When I checked out, the attendant was friendly, however she didn't ask how my stay was, so here it is."
