Yosemite National Park Matthes Crest Hotels

"Curry Village is an awesome place to stay while at Yosemite. The rooms tents are well maintained and the views are spectacular. We parked the car and traveled for free using the parks free shuttles which are more like city buses. The village has decent foods and even a bar for those who want to sit and enjoy the amazing views. The staff were wonderful and helpful people. The little grocery store in Curry had the best coffee in the morning. The only thing I think they need to improve on are the bathroom and shower rooms. They may need to be cleaned and stocked more often, but with staffing shortages in our National Parks Im sure it can be a challenge. I cant wait to come back."

"The new owners are renovating the rooms on the hotel side. The beds were comfortable. Not too hard and not too soft. Same for the pillows. The fridge was probably older than I am but it still worked really well. The only little gripe I have was the painting we had in our room was a little too big. Kept bumping into it to get to the bathroom."

"There was some areas under construction and off limits but otherwise the lodge offered great amenities. It was super convenient to have restaurants and a small grocery selection on site. The location could not have been better being just outside the park entrance. This is definitely the lesser used entrance and I never had a wait to get in to the park. "

"Staff really nice Room was pretty dusty and furniture scraped - but with that said, we had what we needed Was in the family sized room that faces the lake- no light or nightstands by the smaller bed The larger bed was nice The view from the porch was great Looked like they were in the process of working on updgrades so guessing it will visually be nicer in next year. Staff was friendly. Location cant beat- across from Nicelys and close to Tioga Pass"

"Buyer beware. When I booked, the property was listed as being close to Yosemite. When it came time to navigate from the park, our drive would have been over five hours! I called them to cancel and their response was, “well you can cancel, but you’re not getting a refund.” We were there at the end of April in beautiful weather so I didn’t expect any road closures. If you are going to book here, be sure to check maps first."

"The place was clean with all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware. We also enjoyed the use of the EV charger. Thank you. "

"Great location! Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was outstanding. We had 2 rooms. One west facing with a great view of Yosemite Falls. The other room was east facing with a phenomenal view of Half Dome. Would definitely recommend this hotel! "
