“This is an old rooming house that has seen better days, say around 1910. Perhaps it is better in summer when one can have windows open, but the apartment stank of mildew. The electricity is on a meter and one must put coins in to keep it going. In winter they grant a base of a few pounds of electricity per day, but this seems a very out of date system. Finally, the shower did not function. This rooming house was just about the only option for those wishing for a room in Port Erin at the time……

“We had a lovely stay at Amadeus apartments during October half term (2 adults, 2 children). The apartment was clean and had all of the facilities we needed. There was a washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave and large fridge/freezer. The beds were comfy and the showers were good. The location was good, and we had no difficulties with parking. The apartment is in a disc parking zone, but this was no problem because we were out for most of the day, and then there were no parking……

“accommodation sppotlessly clean, relaxing, delightful garden surroundings and excellent provision of any necessaary accessories required. Fantastic hosts Caroline and Mark very helpful when needed and extremely pleasant ensuring any additional needs were required. Needless to say their attention to our needs was excellent and we definitely will stay with them again next year on our return the beautiful Ellan Vannin.”

“Very overpriced. We were traveling with a group of 7 so we booked 2 exact apartments in the same building. Vrbo charged me more than our friends paid. They booked through Expedia. I will never use Vrbo again. The owner then charged me more money when we arrived, after the final online payment was made. He stated we didn’t pay for enough people, The apt sleep 7 we had 3 ppl in ours. Explain that? Pictures online were from another much nicer location (catfished). Very unclean. Cheap furniture……

“Pass code given to us for the front door of the annex and was easy to use. Accommodation was beautiful,immaculate and the welcome touches were much appreciated. There is also a seating area in the garden for use. The annex is located in a quiet area which was perfect for us but also not too far from a decent sized co-op (and other shops)if we needed any groceries. We would recommend this to anyone thinking of having a break in the fantastic Isle of man. ”
