I absolutely loved this hotel, it’s in a beautiful, quiet town with shops and a park nearby and the rooms are just superb. I remember even showing my friends the bathroom and they had the same reaction, jaws were dropped on how absolutely nice they were! Even front desk were kind, was able to have a good chat with some of them. Definitely would go there, when visiting the country again.

We booked this property so that we had a closer drive to the Dublin airport for our flight to the next morning. I wish they did rooms with two queen beds instead of a queen bed and a single. We had to get two rooms for a family of four, which was very expensive. The Expedia listing said that the property had an arcade/game room, which turned out to be for a little kids. They should be clearer that it is for young children. My teenage boys were disappointed. Parking is quite chaotic for this hotel, as it competes with a shopping plaza and the leisure center, which is open to the public.. The breakfast was really amazing at this hotel,

Lovely stay at Glenroyal. This is the 3rd year we’ve visited and it lived up to previous expectations. Everything is tastefully presented and well maintained. Family room very comfortable and suitably spacious for 4 people. The kids loved the little adventurers club and swimming pool. Had a lovely meal in the enclosure restaurant too. Hope to be back another time!

Rooms were hot(16-18degrees outside)- we had a mobile air conditioning unit in the room but this was too noisy to keep on. Other rooms had a fan you could use. Obviously a real problem if a good night’s sleep is important to you. Hotel was fine otherwise

Customer service effort by Receptionist who handled check-ins on 19th & 20th June 2025 ( guests booked at Glenroyal for Glendinning wedding at Carton House) did a marvellous job in upgrading rooms from super-hot rooms to cool air conditioned rooms. She liaised quickly with Hotel Room manager who kindly approved change of rooms. I was initially very devastated when my guests were so uncomfortable with rooms temp after a very long haul flight from USA. I wish to also say a big thank you to Restaurant Manager Peter & his staff who did a marvellous job organising meals for the 2 nights private pre-wedding dinner parties for my family guests. My major recommendation for the hotel is to do everything possible to install Air conditioners in all rooms & update bathrooms with shower facilities, especially for Accessibility rooms. (It was poor facilities for two of my wedding guests who had to walk long distance, one with mobility restrictions and used a walking stick from her room to the swimming pool shower cubicle as her room only had a bath facility. I love the ambiance of the hotel & surrounding eating/shopping facilities. I will love to stay there again but how can I be guaranteed an air conditioned room? Thanks. Absolutely fantastic hotel and we are so grateful for the excellent hospitality. Unfortunately we were staying here for a funeral but this hotel and their staff were exceptional during our stay and ensured we felt comfortable and had a great experience despite the circumstances. We are so thankful for all of you. Thank you so much. Excellent rooms, amazing beds and amenities. 100% recommend to anyone. Such a wonderful experience.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay & the breakfast was good. Staff provided extra bedding for my wife. Staff needs to have better communication about correct times for amenities such as pool closing & laundry pickup.

Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. They were always helpful, friendly and professional. Food was great in restaurant. Breakfast could be better with more choices for example smoked salmon and or fish options.
