“It was a bit too close to a main road so road noise could be heard, particularly when sitting on the porch. There is no handrail up to the bedroom and the steps are rather steep and dark...not a good set up for older patrons or those with mobility issues. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable and a nice area to easily walk the dogs outside. The setting is very pretty on a river and canoes and kayaks are available to use.”

“Beautiful, clean location for our 32nd anniversary. Very enjoyable cabin, loved the firepit by the lake. Well stocked kitchen, except needs a strainer for cooking pasta and draining food items. We appreciated being able to use the owners dock to tie up our boat. Biggest complaint, the lake needs to produce more trout and salmon, and less bass and perch! (Like you can change that, right?).”

“Beautiful spot on the lake, very private. Stayed with family to view the solar eclipse and it was perfect. Plenty of room - and fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, spices, etc.) and bathroom to make it easy to just arrive (best to arrive with groceries though - it takes awhile to get back to any shops!). Bald eagles (and a golden eagle sighting) were quite a bonus.”

“This hidden gem is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Right on the lake and minutes from great hiking, this place is hard to beat! Secluded yet close enough to Lincoln and Millinocket in case you need supplies or want to sample local food and beer. The water was still a bit cold so we didn't take advantage of the kayaks but would have loved to. We will surely be back another time!!”

“Nice cabin for seclusion and quick enough access to Baxter State Park. Note this is a half bath house not full…only shower is outside so be prepared for that. Beautiful view of lake and Mt Katahdin. Beach area made for easy access of water on kayaks and canoes.”

“We so enjoyed our stay in this clean, cozy cabin on the lake. Heard the loons as we watched a spectacular sunset! Enjoyed delicious dining at River Drivers & Scootic In restaurants convenient to the cabin. Great local hiking!”

“My husband dog and I, very much enjoyed the camp. So peaceful. We ended up getting up there later than planned. John waited for us. He was so kind and helpful. My car ended up having issues and needed to be fixed. I texted John. He sent me to a garage in Lincoln. They were so nice. The lake is clean and clear. So beautiful. I enjoyed fishing while my husband relaxed in the lake. John also told us about some good fishing and walking places. The camp has all you need for cooking and eating.……

“There was no laundry available. Also the address that was supplied said Millinocket Maine however it was 40 minutes from there in a very rural area on a dirt road.”

“Property was great. FYI the one of the pictures makes it look like the river runs right to lawn but there is a steep incline to access river which if I had known I wouldn’t have brought my kayak. Otherwise the pictures are good representation of the property.”

“My stay was lovely. The cabin was peaceful and had all we needed to enjoy our time there. Despite the downsides, I'd totally book again. The location was private. The pond was calm with few boats. Loved having the porch swings, picnic table, and outdoor hearth. Walmart & hannaford were 15 minutes away to get the forgotten odds and ends. I had excellent phone service. There was plenty of parking. The furniture was either hard as a rock (queen bed - bring a foam pad!) or rather warn out. The……

“Well this was a surprise. We arrived later in the evening and the cabins were kind enough to call and let us know how to access the cabins. When we got there it was very dire, however. it is possible most of the tenants are AT hikers and don't care about accommodations, but that isn't us. It was the first time i 5 years my husband wanted to leave right away and find another place to leave. The bath sink was held up by a radiator due to someone having pulled it off the wall. Spiders and cobwebs……
