Stay was nice, the room is well equipped with breakfast and toiletries however the wifi barely worked
We had a wonderful stay. Paula was very accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed. The rooms were fabulous and the gardens were relaxing.
The house was near to all the places we wanted to see. We'll certainly be returning in the near future.
Had an amazing stay. The place with clean and comfortable, especially the bed. It felt super cozy and the breakfast ingredients in the fridge were an added bonus. I went by myself to have solo trip to unwind and I’m so glad this is where I stayed. The grounds were beautiful, and after a storm it became misty and so picturesque. Would stay again.

The operator sent a comprehensive email on how to enter, but no personal contact. The accomodation was compact and comfortable, and the breakfast provisons excellent.
We spent a very pleasant few days staying at Mary Cards this autumn and enjoyed a great base from which to explore the Dandenongs. The Baltic room was located up a flight of stairs but was roomy and comfortable. Would recommend this as a romantic short break spot.
This place was amazing! It was quiet, full of trees and kindness. The hosts were lovely and provided a welcoming and safe stay for us for the weekend. The soundproofing was also great, the other 2 rooms were occupied but we felt we were the only ones on the whole property.
My only problem was the lack of heat. As an American I could not bring myself to use the gas heater and the fact that I would have to get down on my bad knees to light it was not good. The owners did furnish me with a small electric heater which I used to heat the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great and the breakfast food furnished was amazing
A beautiful step back in time with all the luxury of a 5 star room. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The room was very comfortable and cozy. Close to restaurants and walking distance to local little village with IGA, chemist, cafes, restaurants and shops. Rick was very helpful and a great host
Gorgeous little B&B in the heart of the Dandenongs
Was great to return to Mary Cards Coach House. We stayed in the Baltic room, which has a gas heater and spa bath to take away the chill of the mountain air.
Had a wonderful stay here ! Very clean ! Had everything we needed ! Just 2min walks to shops and restaurants. Staff was very welcoming and helpful ! Newspaper left infront of our door every morning very thoughtful. Breakfast was well stocked and fresh. Would recommend others to stay here.
Enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend. Breakfast consisted of a nicely presented basket of ingredients for a "self cook English breakfast" : bacon, eggs, tomato etc... in addition to bread and an assortment of cereals. I actually liked this, but not everyone would wish to cook whilst on holiday. The room was comfortable and spacious, and hotel staff extremely friendly. Really no complaints at all. Don't arrive too late for check-in.
We can highly recommend this accommodation, the room was very cosy, the breakfast excellent and the gardens beautiful. It was easy walking to restaurants and close to much of the Dandenongs. We had a very relaxing time and felt fully recharged from our stay.
Screens on the doors would allow for greater airflow
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at mary cars. Rick was very welcoming and helpful with lots of knowledge about the surrounding area and attractions. the room was well equipped with hairdryer, hair straightener and lots of fresh local food and complimentary chocolates. all up, our stay was 10 out of 10
We were looking for a b&b close by for the weekend and found Mary Cards to be most accomodating. Close to eateries and attractions and secluded enough to be intimate....would recommend this to anyone
The entrance was a bit awkward to spot from the road, but that's the only negative we have to offer from our stay.
Breakfast is provided in the room in the form of bacon, eggs, beans etc. to cook for yourself in the kitchenette, plus cereals, milk, juice etc. in the fridge.
There are restaurants, shops etc. within easy walking distance.
The free wifi was a major factor in choosing to stay here, and it worked faultlessly throughout our time there.
The owner was very helpful when we had to stay an extra night because of bad weather at our next destination.
All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and we'd recommend the place very highly.
Had a great time staying in this clean, comfortable and quiet place close to nature on a sort of hill resort not far from Yarra valley. There are also many eateries close by. However the website should inform that traveller that they have to cook breakfast themselves.
Room was clean however a lot of codwebs, mould on the bath ect. Staff made me feel uncomfortable for having our newborn with us, asked if he cried much due to other guests. No facilities or gardens to view on the property which was disappointing. Lounge room was small so we couldn't lay on the couch together watching movies etc. incould hear the other guest upstairs all night so I didn't sleep that well. Wouldn't stay again unfortunately.
This was our first stay at a B&B. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful. The bed was super comfy and the place felt homely. The host was extreamly helpful and very kind. She even left some halloween treats for us. The breakfast supplies were all of great quality and more then enough for the weekend. The spa bath was a great size and the furniture was beautiful. Each morning the paper was left at the door which was lovely. We found the room to be clean and fresh.
Very nice accommodation within easy walking distance to local restaurants. We stayed in Mary's Room which was very comfortable with a 4 posted bed and very quiet as it was situated away from the main road. The cook-it-yourself breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.
