Great but lacking when needing assistance on an urgent matter

The stay was great (besides the check-in process), love the building and the location. However I had an urgent matter and required a package to be delivered to where I was staying (a friend passed away and was being sent something of theirs before I left the country) and the owners were incredibly inflexible in trying to help me obtain it, sticking only to the policies and having no human compassion for my situation. I'm devastated that I'm not able to get my package that was delivered and likely in their mailroom. We're all human here, and it felt like I was dealing with robots.
