Hometown Inn

"My husband has been traveling for work (he's a business owner) all over California, from near Auburn, down to LA, back up to Tracy and Gilroy and a couple other spots I don't remember. I've been booking him in to several hotels over the last week and heard about all kinds of problems, but this motel was on a whole other level. With Expedia, the cost was under $100. He reported to me how great this place is. Clean, open, well-maintained (he says he thinks it's pretty new), and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. He really raved about the shower. Double shower heads and big, open area. If we ever need to be in the area again, we will definitely be booking another room here - maybe just taking a weekend away from our usual grind."

"The property is large, historical, quiet, beautiful, and very well maintained. We arrived late in the evening, but enjoyed walking around the property and seeing all the interesting sights the following morning before we left the hotel."

"I've been to Los Banos twice in the last month & stayed at 2 different hotels. Next time I come back, I will probably return to this Best Western. The hotel is pet friendly, has a pool (not heated), a spa & they had a bathtub. All pluses! However, there was no shade by the pool & the sink is outside the bathroom so I didn't love that. The people that worked there were extremely warm & friendly though; they were top notch. There is a fantastic restaurant called Cosmos across the parking lot that I highly recommend you try. Service, ambiance & food were so great, I ate there 3 times during my stay."

"The property’s landscape and star gazing was top notch. Really beautiful property and we are grateful to have been allowed to stay there. However it was 88 degrees inside the house when we checked in at 6pm and it was difficult and time consuming to get ahold of a human who could do something about it. Saw mouse droppings, spiders and cobwebs in several places. The bottom of the refrigerator interior and the bottom of the freezer drawer in kitchen had gooey stuff and mold. I think this is a beautiful vrbo but it was extremely unfortunate no one from the host team called Evolve nor any of the owners reps checked on the condition before we arrived. I hope in the future someone checks that the interior temperature and cleanliness is good BEFORE the guests arrive. I really wanted to give it five stars but I have to be honest that driving to locations that had cellular service and asking locals for names and numbers of AC repairs places was not how I wanted to spend my time. The listing speaks about and shows pictures of a wood deck with seating right off the sliding glass doors. But when we arrived it had been removed entirely"

"We got in late and tired. All we wanted was a place to rest. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and setup for the night. The suite had 3 full size beds and a decent amount of walking room!"
