When we arrived, the freezer was open, the fridge wasn't working, lights and TVs were on. The apartment was very grimy - dirt and dust along many surfaces, makeup on the desk in the primary bedroom, splattered paint on the floors, the closet doors were caked in dust, there was a cigarette burn on the sofa, one of the twin beds was so squeaky and loud that it couldn't be used. The shower in the primary bedroom’s bathroom didn’t drain. The espresso machine leaked water and one smoke detectors started beeping in the middle of the night. The host was responsive and got a replacement espresso machine and maintenance took the batteries out of the smoke detector because new batteries didn't stop the beeping.The pool area was great and we enjoyed our time there. The run down condition of the apartment was disappointing but what was incredibly unsatisfactory was the ad read "All fees included" but there was the VRBO booking fee and a per day resort fee that was only mentioned in the contract AFTER booking. This should be mentioned up front so people have the full price prior to booking. The place was not worth the extra money and I would have booked somewhere different had I known the full cost.
