My daughter and I visited Miami Beach for the first time over spring break for a 4 day trip. We were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Trouvail! What we loved- the front patio area and pool area are gorgeous, surrounded by lush greenery with lots of comfortable seating. We appreciated that they had chairs to take to the beach, which was only a few blocks away. We enjoyed the unique decor in the lobby area and in our room. The food and drinks were great- I loved how it wasn't a restaurant per se, but you could order food and drinks from the bar, and eat there, in the lobby, by the pool, etc. The location suited us well, walkable and somewhat lively, but not loud or super busy at all. The trolley was free and took us to South Beach for the day.
I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because it really was excellent- there was just one small thing that didn't work for me, which was the thin walls and how easy it was to hear what was happening in the halls, other rooms, and footsteps overhead. I am very noise sensitive, so for others it may not be a problem at all. Luckily, the other guests were all pretty normal, quiet people and not loud partiers at all, so it was a chill crowd.
