laziness and complacency
We found the property easily; the valet and the concierge were kind but the concierge didn't validate our wrist bands correctly so we had to run downstairs twice before they finally worked on both the elevators and with the room door. This was really annoying after traveling all day. This was disappointing and it showed a lack of understanding of how the wrist bands work and a lack of communication between the property manager and the front desk. My wife had to personally clean the master bathroom sink faucet - it was disgusting! There were no basic spices (salt/pepper) in the kitchen so we had to buy those - annoying. The biggest problem we encountered with this property was the evening before we checked out. After a long day of shopping and preparing ourselves to check out, we came up to the room and none of the wrist bands worked. My son ran down (this is the 16th floor so this takes a good length of time each cycle) and the concierge ordered maintenance to the room. We were waiting outside for 20 minutes before he arrived. He didn't speak a lick of English. I doubt he had papers. He changed the batteries. It still didn't work. He went downstairs to speak with the concierge and brought back one key. This wasn't the correct key. He fiddled with the door another 10 minutes. Finally security came and had the correct key to let us in. The entire process took around 90 minutes and left me and my wife very anxious and upset. Still no response from property manager!!!
