Ocean Casino Resort
10/10 Excellent
"I was traveling with my mom. While she doesn’t need a full handicapped bathroom she would have appreciated a grab bar in the water closet since the commode is low. Also, there was a clump of hair that stayed on the floor, by the elevator for our 3 night stay. We saw a sign on the highway advertising full time work for Ocean, my mom commented that she hoped housekeeping would be trained properly to clean and wipe down all public areas, like elevator doors and floor selection panels. Just a couple of points to reach excellence."

"Clean and well run. Helpful and efficient staff. Excellent location, and user friendly (once you figure out the clever lifts system). One suspects its glory days were a few decades ago but a good budget solution for the area."

"The property has a great location in central Manhattan. The physical premises appear to be under construction. There is not lobby to speak of, and the organization of elevators is complex and confusing. Our room was clean, but the facilities showed a lot of wear. Price does include a free breakfast, although it is extremely basic. Our objection had to do with the check-inn process. We arrived at 3:50 for a scheduled 4:00 PM check-in and were told we had to wait. We returned 45 minutes later and were informed there was no room available which matched the room we had reserved via Expedia. We ended up in a tiny room with (literally) barely space to turn around, and instead of a City view we had a back wall view."

"Don't be fooled! This is not a 4-star hotel. It's barely a 3-star. The room smelled bad, as did the bathroom. The mattress sagged too much, making it difficult to sleep. The room needs maintenance. It's damp and has several other issues. They don't even provide complimentary water in the room, and there's no mini-fridge. The room also faces an interior courtyard, so it gets no sunlight and is very dark, requiring the lights to be on constantly. A mediocre room for a very, very high price. The only good thing is the location. I will never stay here again."

Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City– A Caesars Rewards Destination

"My husband and I traveled to Atlantic City and stayed at Harrah’s for his 40th birthday. Unfortunately, we did not win anything big and spent all of our allotment for the stay we were there. The tables don’t seem to pay out all that much at all. Also, they are not staffed enough to even have half of them open and they don’t even open the tables during the week until 12pm. That part was very disappointing. The rooms were nice and clean but the design of the shower is super awkward. It’s a half wall of glass and all of the water gets in the floor outside of the shower. There is 1 hook to hang a towel in the bathroom and there was no waste basket in our bathroom at all. We only had 1 very tiny waste basket in the room to last all week. Needless to say, we had to find a maid to empty it and give us a fresh trash bag. We called for bell service on the last day and were told a half hour wait. Only to find out they have 2 members on staff servicing 2000 rooms and had already waited over 45 minutes and they still didn’t arrive. We ended up canceling the bell service and had to make 2 trips all the way to our car. Then, our room key didn’t even work to leave the garage and there was no staff member working out there to help us, so we ended up having to pay for it. All in all, it was fun but also very disappointing at the same time. It was cheap to stay there and you could tell, but we probably won’t be back to this resort."

"The check in desk was always backed up and every interaction seemed to take too long. The woman's restroom in the lobby was disgusting. The room was fine, clean and as expected. The indoor pool was unavailable with no explanation."
