The Magical Forest Retreat was so named because the sweeping views of nature exude a magical mood. The tall trees and open skies give a feeling of enchantment as if they are casting a spell—one of peace, gratitude, and mystery. As you behold the view of Cascade Canyon and Mt.Tam, with the evening fog rolling over the hill from the West as the sun sets--and possibly the moon too--you’ll agree it’s reminiscent of a fairyland!

It's also only 17 minutes according to Maps from here to the SF Marina (without traffic) so everything the city offers is on hand too.

Our love for Nature is expressed in the house through our beautiful orchids and succulents. Plants enhance the magic of the space.

This combination of "sublime Nature getaway" plus "easy city access," makes Mill Valley unique. Here you find an abundance of wild life including commonly seen deer, squirrels, and of course bird galore. It's a magical location, immersed in Nature, yet with the amenities of a happening, healthy town, and the Big City close by too.

AN ORIGINAL MILL VALLEY GEM
The house is on a block of almost half an acre. This space is the full lower level of a large house where the host resides, that was one the original 6 houses built on our street, one of the most coveted in Mill Valley because of its characteristically sunny aspect. Down the hill is a studio built for painting where the owner lives.

WORKING REMOTELY?
Magical Forest Retreat is set up to accommodate remote work with high speed internet and dedicated quiet office space. A high- end ergonomic desk chair and an office desk with a plethora of outlets are provided for guests.

BRINGING A DOG?
House-trained dogs welcome. Pet policy and fees apply. Our space is very dog-friendly. The whole property is contained by fences and gates, so your dogs can roam free in the almost half and acre garden. Your "best friend" is welcome here. Woof.

MILL VALLEY TOWN
You’ll find locally-owned coffee shops, a juice bar, great restaurants, boutiques & the stunning Old Mill Park.

While staying here, this is a fully private oasis for you, including the hammock. You have your own private entrance and parking spot in the driveway.

Also, make sure to enjoy the incredible views from the patio during your stay!

This place is great for professionals working remotely and of course for vacation. It’s an ideal jump-off point into old-growth redwoods, the Pacific Ocean (Muir and Stinson beaches), the entire spectacular Marin headland, and of course Mt. Tam, that is on our doorstep.

Hike to famous Mount Tamalpias biking/hiking trails, stroll the charming downtown of Mill Valley where you can enjoy an Equator coffee and snack, or have lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants. Have a picnic in Old Mill Park or indulge in retail therapy at the local boutiques. You might fall in love with this place...
