Welcome to secluded Broadkill Beach! You have arrived at a luxurious paradise location and home for your vacation that provides opportunities to create wonderful new family beach memories. You can unwind, read and enjoy just being together with your family. Beachfront Tranquility is totally oriented to the water. Every room has some view of the water. Straight out in front of you are the beach and water.
Our private, very short walkway gets you immediately to your beach. Enjoy our four-bedroom beach home with outstanding unobstructed views of Broadkill Beach, Delaware Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean. Broadkill is considered a "Low-density area", so you will indeed get a wonderful quiet experience for your family time together!
We provide Contactless check-in with a keypad door - the keypad access code will be sent to you just prior to your arrival.
The decks give you unobstructed views of the beach and water. Our guests enjoy watching from our decks their children playing on the beach. You can watch the array of wildlife as gentle waves dance in before your eyes. The house is a quiet haven to relax, work, and just unwind.
Our beach, that extends to the end of South Bayshore Drive, is extremely isolated. There is no street parking so no one else can access our beach. No permits are needed for parking. Our driveway can hold 9 cars. You will be lured into taking long, peaceful, walks in either direction where you may see dolphins, crabs, eagles, osprey, owls, hawks, and other wildlife. The wide, flat beach creates a huge playground for games and fun for beach lovers of all ages. The water is warm and shallow, with a smooth sandy bottom.
For your convenience we provide for you the following:
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent pods,dishwasher detergent, dish soap, multipurpose cleaner, trash bags - both for recycling and regular - olive oil, assorted spices, drip coffee filters and liquid soap for the sinks.
In addition, we provide linens and towels: 9 of the following: fluffy bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, washcloths, makeup washcloths and kitchen towels.
For families we also have available: Graco Pack and Play, crib sheet, highchair, silicone infant plates and utensils, children's plates, cups and utensils, Aveeno baby shampoo and lotion, board books, children’s books, board games, and a craft table with paper. There are also two step stool- one is tan colored and the other issue bright pink and white one usually found in the kitchen closet.
Prior to your arrival I will send out a list of recommendations of places to go, restaurants, grocery stores and other information to help you get prepared for your trip to our paradise.
Every bed gets the following: soft sheets, blankets, bedspread/quilts, pillow protectors, pillowcases, and pillow shams. Every week all the towels and linens are commercially laundered. In addition, the bedspreads, pillow shams and blankets are also commercially laundered. We send over 125 pounds of laundry every week to be cleaned. These laundry costs are part of the cleaning fee for the house.
First floor.
Child items are located in the first floor along with in the second floor. On the main floor, you will love the large wraparound deck where you can enjoy breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets. On the deck are many chairs, a picnic table, and propane BBQ; all elements that create an inviting atmosphere for lounging, dining, and viewing the water and beach. On a clear day or night, you can see all the way across the Bay to Cape May, 14 miles away.
WIFI! The living room has cable and Apple TV with DE highest speed internet Wi-Fi. This nine-foot ceiling room includes a large cabinet/bookcase where you will find many books and games. Both the living room and adjacent sunroom have comfortable, upholstered chairs and sofas for gathering. The sunroom, full of windows and light, has always been a favorite place for guests to congregate because of the incredible views and comfortable environment both for sunrises and sunsets. It has a sliding door to the main deck. You can also close an inner sliding door for privacy from the living room. The house’s open floor plan is spacious and welcoming with the beach and water always in view.
You move seamlessly from the living room and sunroom to the sitting area, dining room and kitchen. Enthusiastic cooking guests enjoy our well-stocked kitchen. We have many new major appliances. For example, our new gas range has three oven options: standard gas oven, convection oven and crisp fryer option. Our new state of the art refrigerator has the latest elements for all your needs. *See below for all the appliances we offer. The large kitchen is complete with granite countertops, bamboo wood flooring, and an extensive supply of cooking accessories.
The dining area right in the kitchen area can seat 11 people comfortably - more if you want to add the folding table. The propane grill is right outside the sliding glass door from the kitchen. This floor also has a full bath with shower, toilet and vanity. The new washer and dryer are in the hallway leading to the bathroom. The iron, and board and a clothes steamer are located in the front closet. The full assortment of appliances are readily available in the kitchen closet for your use - including a Vitamix blender, regular blender, drip coffee machine, Keurig ,and many more useful amenities. Some are listed on the amenities page, and these are more: large electric griddle, electric skillet, crock pot, waffle maker.
Second floor - bedrooms and bathrooms
Child items are located on this floor also . All commercially cleaned linens and towels are on the second floor. Bedrooms - The four bedrooms upstairs all have 12' vaulted ceilings and offer lots of light and views. The large primary bedroom suite has its own spacious completely renovated bathroom with a shower, soaking tub, double sinks, and hair dryer. This bedroom also has its own private porch that faces the beach. Two more spacious bedrooms are on this floor. The peach bedroom has a king bed and a couch. Another bedroom has a king bed and a chair that converts to a twin bed. The fourth bedroom has a sofa that converts to a queen pull-out bed. In addition, this bedroom has a TV on a dresser with apple TV. This bedroom has a large sliding glass door leading to the upper deck with unparalleled views. The other upstairs completely renovated bathrooms includes a toilet, shower and counter with double sinks, fire extinguisher, and hair dryers. We have first aid kits. They are located in a cabinet on the back side of the kitchen counter which faces the beach. In that cabinet, you will find placemats.

Ground floor - garage .
The garage is stocked with abundant numbers of beach chairs of all sizes, ( at least 14 chairs and additional children's chairs)umbrellas, beach toys, a full-size boogie boards and beach games. You will find a two-person kayak, and a paddle board that can also be used as a kayak. Numerous life jackets are there in the garage also.

From our house, you have your sanctuary, and you can also explore so many places: Lewes, Milton, Rehoboth Beach, Bethany, Dewey Beach, Fenwick Island and Ocean City. All have a variety of places of interest to explore, which include shopping, fishing, golfing, water parks, miniature golf, surfing, surf boarding, biking, trampoline park, water cruises and hiking and biking trails abound. Before your arrival, we send out to you a carefully curated list of information on everything you want to know about the area, ie. grocery stores, restaurants, things to do.

Due to COVID-19 we are continuing taking extremely careful industry vetted recommended steps to ensure the house is safe for your visit.
For each cleaning the crew begins by spraying the house with a commercial Covid vetted disinfectant, then a thorough cleaning and sanitizing, and a final second disinfectant spraying. Only then will the House be ready for your stay.
Due to COVID extra decorative pillows and accessories have been removed for your safety. As mentioned above, all bedding, including bedspreads, blankets and pillow shams are professionally cleaned for each rental.
