Family gathering for funeral

The close proximity to Lakewood cemetery was the reason we chose this house. It was perfect for our extended family to gather right after the ceremonies, being only about a mile away. It made it easy to keep folks together a bit before they traveled on. The rest of the days the 3 of us stayed were very comfortable and relaxing in this home. We loved having coffee in the front sun room in the morning.

Hidden gem

Great stay

The only complaint, I would have is, it said free parking, I took that to mean parking on the property, but there wasn’t. Other than that it was a great rental.

Lots of character in a walkable neighborhood

The house was well appointed with everything we needed. The backyard was beautiful and cozy with comfortable patio furniture and string lights. We loved the walkable location as well.

So much character! Floor plan perfect for family.

So much care and consideration has gone into this home. We loved spending mornings in the screened in porch. Kitchen was very small but ok since we made simple meals. I think it was a stretch calling it “Uptown”but location was great for parks, grocery stores and access to the amazing lake. We would stay again.

Beautiful woodwork

Very nice home just a bit hard to get a close parking place if you get back after 6 or 7 pm. I think they should put curtains on bedroom window so daylight doesn’t wake you in the mornings. But overall a very nice place quiet neighbors. Barely saw them. Enjoyed our stay and visit with family.

Loved location…around the corner from our son and daughter-in-law. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for entertaining. We did have trouble with tv in living room. Trouble with figuring out how to use and when we thought we had it…no signal. Would have appreciated more info. Would have been a perfect 5 except for trouble with tv

Nice Stay

We were in town for vikings game and Lance's property was perfect for what we needed. Clean, cozy and quite. There is a tenant in the above unit but we hardly noticed. It is an older home but it had great character. Although it was late October, the weather was nice enough for us to enjoy some time in the sunroom area. Would rent again.

Our stay in Kingfield, Minneapolis

We found this property well-suited to our needs. The kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery and dishware and has pretty modern appliances. There are built-in AC units in all of the rooms we used. The bed was very comfortable, and the larger bedroom was far enough from busy Nicolette Ave. that we didn't hear street noise. We enjoyed the various streaming services available on the large TV in the living room.

Cute, comfy house/ sketchy area.

The home itself was cute, clean, spacious. The rules were simple and fair. Checking in and out was easy and hassle-free. Kitchen was well stocked. The only thing I missed having was a meat thermometer. The pictures to help with taking care of clean dishes was very helpful. I did find mold in the shower. Showering was awkward and difficult due to the shower head being located on the long side of the tub, and it was fixed to one position. We had to stagger showers in order to have enough hot water for all of us. I did have trouble feeling safe in the area. With pan- handlers on the same block, graffiti and litter all over, it felt a little more rough than I'm comfortable with. The doors with simple locks and what could have been easy enough access to the tenants in the other unit in the house.

Uptown with character

Main floor flat was clean, comfortable with lots of character. Nice kitchen, furniture & fenced yard. I walked the dogs around the neighborhood every morning for our week stay. Check in was poor as they put our code on the upstairs flat door pad & I had to convince the office we were renting the main floor flat. She apologized & problem was resolved.

Lovely place, but not without complications

We liked the home a lot and the place was clean and ready. Minnestay is the property manager, and they demanded separate credit information in advance, required pictures of our drivers license and credit card or they wouldn’t issue entry information. They even asked for it a second time after it had been provided. Then the combination to get into the property didnt work. It was an unhelpful extra layer. Lance, who appears to be the property owner, was very responsive, although he also appears to be Minnestay.The property seemed a bit overpriced for the market, and perhaps why it was available on short notice when most similar properties were unavailable.

Comfortable and communicative

We had a lovely stay with Minnestay and will definitely use them again. We had a little trouble entering the unit but someone was immediately reachable to help us and the same was the case when we couldn't get the TV working. Someone was immediately ready to help. Communication was the best part of this rental.

Great place for a family gathering in a convenient location to the interstate and Uptown amenities.

We stayed here Easter weekend for 2 nights as a family since my older kids attend the U of MN (we are a family of 6 but only 3 of us stayed overnight). We didn’t venture out to restaurants as we just wanted to hang as a family with some home cooking. The kitchen was well stocked and has a place setting for 8. I made all our meals here and we had a great time hanging out in the living room and dining room playing games I had brought. The management team was very responsive to an unfortunate leaky kitchen faucet Easter morning, and the owner himself was there to fix it within 40 minutes. The linens are newish and plentiful, and overall the house has been nicely refurbished to enhance the character of an older home. The pictures adequately represent the house. I would definitely stay here if ever such need arises again.

We had such a nice stay at this beautiful home, just a 25’ walk from Lake Harriet and Bde Makaska. Incredibly comfy beds and very responsive owner - thank you for helping us with the radiators!

First Family Visit

We flew to Minneapolis to visit our daughter for the first time since she moved here. Not knowing the city, we were nervous. But this unit had such good reviews that we grabbed it. We were not disappointed. Clean and beautifully decorated. 15 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go. Responsive management. We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful place

This is a lovely apartment. It has everything needed for a wonderful stay, and it is apparent that a high level of care has been taken with all details. The apartment was immaculately clean. The beds were excellent and we also enjoyed stretching out to relax on the sumptuous leather couches. A well-equipped kitchen and a lovely dining room. Tasteful decor throughout with many thoughtful touches. Enjoyed exploring the restaurant recommendations that the hosts provided. The property management is excellent. Easily one of our favorite vacation rentals of all time!

Great Place!

Clean and spacious, nice comfortable bed/furniture. Good linens and towels. Loved the decor, especially the built in wooden china/book case and the wall of masks in the dining room. Great kitchen, although we didn’t cook. Loved the neighborhood, walked a block or two for dinner at “Young Man” delicious Malaysian place and can’t recall the name, but a really good pizza/empanada place (Boludo?). You park in the street in front of the house, we never had a problem finding a spot right out front during our stay. I would stay here again, highly recommend!

Cute and convenient

Our family of 4 stayed in this cute, 2bd 1ba duplex for a week while exploring Minneapolis. Everywhere we wanted to go - Bde Mka Ska, Mall of America, Lake Nokomis, Como Pool, Minnehaha Falls - was only a 5-20 minute drive and Target Field and Vikings Stadium were both transit accessible. There are a few things that would have made things easier like more silverware and a dish drying rack, but otherwise it was a great stay. Totally recommend!
