I feel sorry for all the people who go to Moab and don't get to experience a night at Under Canvas. We were a little nervous about glamping, but we are now obsessed. The staff made us feel comfortable about everything. We chose a Stargazer tent--it had a clear panel above the head of the KING SIZED bed. We simply had a blast! This is the perfect getaway for your next adventure to Moab!!

We never got to stay here, even though we paid the full rate for 4 nights, about $1350. The change/cancellation policy is 100% non-negotiable and the property is impossible to contact by phone. The phone number has a recorded messages declining all calls. The email soliciting this review says “As a small company, we depend on our valued guests to tell others about us.” I don’t buy it. These people just want your money and don’t care bout your experience at all. Here’s what I want to tell others: Visit Moab and stay somewhere with a negotiable change/cancellation policy. While you’re there, drive by Under Canvas to see if it appeals to you. It’s isolated from amenities, 8 miles out of town, and very close to a busy highway that has heavy truck traffic 24/7. The view of the mesa has layers of power lines, railroads & the highway. If you like what you see, book a tent for your next visit. But be aware, there’s absolutely no chance of changing or cancelling without paying for the full stay and no chance of re-booking with credit for a previous booking. Full disclosure, I made a mistake booking this property for the wrong dates. My intention in this review is to draw attention to the non-ngeotiable change/cancellation policy so others don’t get stuck paying for a stay they can’t use like I did. Truth be told, after visiting Moab, the tent sounds cool if you’ve never been there, but a hotel is a lot more convenient and comfortable and even less expensive. Boo Under Canvas Moab!

The staff was nice, we were shown around and demonstrated on things worked in the tent. The place was super clean. The only negative, the highway is too close to tents and you have noise pollution. They do provide earplugs, however it would have been nicer to have been further away from highway.

I had a great experience at Under Canvas. My tent looked directly at Arches National Park and was very spacious. The staff was very helpful and offered assistance if I was uncomfortable with anything (starting the fireplace). A cooler was offered to me to keep any food cold. There were many activities planned in the lobby tent and games/ other forms of entertainment available. I would recommend to anyone who might be interested in a more “rugged” way to vacation and be closer to nature.

Beautiful place! It did get quite chilly in the evening so the stove in the tent was a plus. Just a heads up that if it's windy out, the tent is quite noisy but ear plugs are provided and that really helped!

We had a spectacular stay at this property. The staff could not have been warmer or more accommodating, and took care to warn us of a coming storm as we checked out. The tent was amazing!!!! Just the experience we had hoped to have. :-)

Beautifully furnished tents, with lots of room and cozy front porches. Our room stayed warm with the fireplace in the room, and the stocked wood bins. The communal restrooms were always clean, and the single rooms were great for cleaning up each morning and night. There is plenty of pathway lighting to make getting around easier, but subtle enough it doesn't take away from the view of the amazingly clear starlit sky. The staff were very welcoming and gave a sense that they were just as happy to be there! Such a great alternative to the busyness of getting a campsite set up! The only drawback is the busy highway below the campsites. I would recommend calling and choosing a cabin located farthest away from the road.
