“This home was compact, but very clean and had many thoughtful touches like well-placed night lights, a good bread knife, etc. The hosts checked in with us to be sure we had no problems and we were doing fine. The home is on a highway, so there is a bit road noise, but it is located so that neither Copper Harbor or Houghton seemed too far to go. The house book had some good recommendations for restaurants and we had a nice meal at Fitzgerald's. It was great to have the ability to do some laundry……

“My family and I stayed here for Michigan Tech move-in weekend. It was a perfect location, not to far away. House was as pictured and very clean. Nice little breakfast diner within walking distance. I would definitely stay again.”

“Overall the house was decent. Very spacious and sprawling. There was no possible way we would have been able to fit sled trailers there, although told we could, 3 trucks didn’t even fit comfortably. Cleanliness could have been better. Bathrooms were “old dirt” dirty. Kitchen was pretty bad especially the fridge/ freezer. Biggest disappointment was no functioning hot tub. It had been broken over a year but still listed as an amenity. That said, we would possibly stay again- but not if planning a……

“Stella’s Hideaway is the best place we’ve stayed at in the UP. Our family has been coming up to the UP in the spring for the past 5 years and have stayed at numerous VRBO homes in various states. This home was by far the best. It has everything you need in the home. It has plenty of bedrooms that made it perfect for our adult kids and our grandkids to have a room. It’s fully stocked and the owner provides a special bowl of MI made snacks. It’s very clean. The owner was very nice to deal with.……
