“This hotel is centuries old and is in a beautiful Tuscan setting in a VERY small town. There are no restaurants or shops in this town. The hotel, while serving an excellent European breakfast, does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner. If you don't have a car, you're stuck. The first night, we had to hire a cab to take us into Montefollonico. We went to a lovely restaurant (Gobbi 13) and we had a delicious meal, but the cab ride cost us 125 EU. The hotel staff was very sympathetic. ……

The place is magical, with views one only dreams of. Breakfast was plentiful & tasty. Parking is a little inconvenient, but that is true of the city.”
