Owners were excellent in all communication and were very friendly. The property was exactly how we imagined - beautiful. The area is simply stunning. We had the best 10 days at the Farmhouse. Everyone slept well and enough bathrooms for all guests too. Kitchen is huge with enough dining space inside and out. If we had to offer any constructive criticism it would be to have more water glasses and to have a pair of oven gloves (or we couldn’t find any). Overall it was an excellent choice for our family to enjoy a very peaceful setting. Thank you to the owners.

Petit coin paisible et tranquille où nous avons passé une superbe semaine. Les enfants ont adoré les jeux mis à disposition. La situation de la maison permet de se déconnecter totalement. Très chouette maison pour un groupe d'amis avec des enfants.

Zeer rustig gelegen en ruim vakantieverblijf

Het complex bestaat uit 4 woningen waarvan we twee in gebruik hebben genomen. De andere woning is privé maar onbewoond op het moment dat wij daar verbleven. Het vierde gebouw is een atelier voor sierraden. Dat was ook niet actief was tijdens ons verblijf. Het domein is bijzonder groot en een ruim deel ervan is toegankelijk (gemaaid). Er zijn voorzieningen voor tafeltennis, snoeker, badminton en een ruim zwembad. Het zwembad is niet omheind maar voorzien van een alarm zodra iemand in het zwembad komt. Het systeem functioneert maar na ruim één minuut wat voor een klein kind dat niet kan zwemmen onveilig is. Dit is gemeld aan de eigenaar. De keuken en vooral de eettafel van het grote huis was plakkerig. Er was tevens een lek onder de de gootsteen. De dubbel bedden in het grote huis zijn aan herinvestering toe. Bij zonder vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars. Buiten de minpuntjes hadden we een meer dan fijn verblijf en blijft het een aanrader.

A little slice of heaven

Baron-Figus is a little slice of heaven in the French countryside and provides the ideal setting to immerse yourself in a local experience. A wonderful opportunity to cook with interesting local ingredients and come away with some tasty recipes and clever tips. I found the entire experience relaxing and a lot of fun. Carolyn and Adam are fabulous hosts who leave you feeling like an old friend catching up over great food and wine

Perfect

Had I taken the time to define what would be the perfect trip for me, I could not have imagined the trip to be as perfect as it actually was. Well equiped inside and out, clean and secluded. Plenty of restaurants nearby and lots to see and do. Great for walking and cycling. We all had a great time. I am definitely planning to return to experience another vacation of a lifetime! The pictures don’t do it justice.

In responnse to a review of this property that I simply cannot understand I have gone to the trouble of signing up here to leave a more accurate review of the place based on our Holiday there. My friends and I spent a week at Baron Figues - a girls holiday away from stress was the plan! Everybody involved made this a trip that will never be forgotten and forever treasured! Caroline and Adam simply couldn't do enough to make sure we had an amazing time. The surroundings, the pool, and activities were an added bonus although we were busy wine-tasting, eating local delicacies and visiting Bordeaux! I really felt that everybody made a huge effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We loved every minute of it and I would wholeheartedly recommend it - a great way to immerse yourself in rural France!

Gîte très bien situé (pas de voisins donc tranquillité absolue ce qui correspondait à nos attentes). Logement très agréable et équipements complets (2 terrasses dont une au milieu du jardin avec une plancha pour de parfaits barbecues). Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Ce que Arn a beaucoup aimé dans votre logement : L'espace et le fait d'être seuls sans voisinage. Ce que Arn pense que vous pourriez améliorer : Il faudrait ajouter davantage de photos sur l'annonce car on ne voit pas la totalité du gîte : c'est dommage, la maison est vraiment très bien.

Fantastic Holiday

Host was very welcoming, met us at property with no delays for key handover. Had left a 'welcome pack' including milk, tea/coffee/juice. The property was exactly as described (we had the entire home) and perfect for our extended family group. Well stocked kitchen. There were many activities provided (swimming pool, badminton, table tennis, pool table). We used the barbecue almost every night. Fairly remote, but easy enough to get to town for shopping by car. Ce que Francesca a beaucoup aimé dans votre logement : I loved all the activities available, the privacy of the property, the fact that all rooms have their own bathroom, the fact that the kitchens had all the utensils we needed and that we had barbecue facilities.

Très écevant et certainement pas inoubliable !!!

Ci-dessous une liste non-exhaustive des déconvenues lors de notre séjour : La literie est mauvaise. Piscine non chauffée et mal entretenue qui a virée au vert dès le début de notre séjour, malgré plusieurs interventions d'amis des propriétaires (absent mais joignable par téléphone), la situation n'a pas été résolu...Sans parler de la sécurité enfant qui ne fonctionne pas. Problème d'odeur de fosse septique. Aucun BBQ ne fonctionne correctement ! Aussi nous avons pu voir les propriétaires lors de notre départ. Nous avions convenu d'un dédommagement, suite aux désagréments liés à la piscine, là aussi nous attendons toujours. Voilà le résumé de notre expérience au Baron-Figues
