The unit was very nice, was hoping to be able to check in before 4, as we had all of our luggage with us and didn't want to go into town with it still in vehicle but Host stated unit was ready until a little after 3, this Host doesn't send out door code until unit is available. (Previous unit in Bar Harbor, we were sent info. 3 days in advance) There was hair products and bath soap provided, In the kitchen, there were some misc....

「We absolutely loved our stay here! The location near the beach is perfect; what a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Of all the places we stayed on our trip this one felt the most like Maine. 「The place is great! Clean, beautiful, fully stocked, great appliances close enough to town but quiet nice yard. Couldn't have asked for better, When checking in there was a minor misunderstanding about which the two units we were in but owner immediately assisted and it properly would not ever happen again. Otherwise check in would have also been a breeze. Fabulous Place.」

Very poor communication from host. They didn't provide us with entry information until the morning of, and didn't answer our messages. 「The cottage was great but the check-in was very stressful. Owner did not send email with info until Saturday morning and it went to my Spam folder. No one was on site when I first got there but someone working in the garden got hold of the owner and let me in. Website says check-in was after 3PM but owner said it was 5PM. Needs to update that on website. After a10-hour drive I was not happy.」

「We enjoyed our stay at Ambleside. The spacious home was well appointed, clean, and the location was great. We were able to explore Boothbay with an easy walk to town via the footbridge or short drive. Cooking in one night was wonderful in the large kitchen, dining table for 10 and good cookware. The screened porch was a good gathering spot too.」
