"While the bungalows may be on the rustic side, it is authentic and functional - and the setting is absolutely unmatched. The small pool at the centre of the compound is a Costa Rican paradise. Renters ought to be aware that it is not located in the Montezuma town, but a 2-3 km walk up steep hills from the beach. Our group was able to do the walk, but many would find it difficult without a vehicle."

"Gorgeous property., however, not very accessible and confusing directions. The owner, Mike, lacked in communication, multiple attempts to contact for confirmation, checking in and directions was frustrating. 40 mins prior our arrival he notified me via VRBO messaging that our room wasn’t available and moved us to a comparable room. "The house was perfect. The location was perfect. The ocean view was perfect. The only grumble from my kids was the rockiness of the beach… which has nothing to do with the beautiful home. So we drove 7 mins down the street to Santa Teressa and life was all good again. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway for your family, this tucked away gem is perfect. "Ylang Ylang embodies Costa Rica’s motto - “Pura Vida!” The property is stunning - right on the ocean and surrounded by lush tropical trees, plants and flowers. It is clean, quiet and extremely well-maintained with meticulous attention to detail throughout. The restaurant has incredible fresh, delicious meals. The staff are amazing - warm, friendly and very welcoming. We loved our stay at Ylang Ylang and hope to be able to return one day. "

"The whole experience was exceptional. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. A relaxed vibe to the hotel which perfectly matched the area. Clean, well maintained and comfortable throughout. Breakfast was fresh and made to order. It was delicious! We saw so much wildlife around the grounds of the hotel, monkeys, birds, reptiles. The beach is a short walk away and felt a safe place to visit and was clean. I would definitely stay again. "
