“Booking restaurant reservations for more than six people is via an automated telephone system which isn’t managed. Very difficult to book a table. Book on line should provide a larger table capacity selection or provide an email to request a table for larger parties not the telephone system.”

“Very nice hotel…..recommended”

“Don’t expect leisure access.”

“Beautiful old hotel that was remodeled recently in an excellent condition. Atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff was very helpful. Beautiful property with Dryburgh Abbey right next door. Hotel is less than two hundred meters off the bike trail”

“Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.”

“Lovely welcome. Great food in the evening. Comfy bed and quirky clean room with fluffy white towels. Superb breakfast. Highly recommend this historical inn. Thank you.”

“Such a lovely quiet area , the garden area on good day is great to sit out in , breakfast is really good too”

“We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future.”
