The hotel was very good, staff were friendly and courteous. The breakfast was very good in both days. Our evening meal on Saturday evening was excellent. On the Sunday morning, we had drinks in the hotel garden which were brought to us by bar staff. The only negative thing was that I had booked a small double room and small it was. So really that was an error on my part so I would definitely book this hotel again, but booking a larger room with a larger double bed. All in all a great place to stay, thank you to all the staff that made it that way.

This is an historic hotel and with that comes uneven floors and steep stairways with no lifts so it is not at all easy to carry your suitcase up and down. When you walk into the hotel it smells of fish. Also our room, while comfortable, was in need of a new clean coat of paint. The bathroom was newly refurbished with nice tile and the combination shower/tub was perfect. It would have been helpful to have updated USB outlets so we could charge our electronic devices more efficiently.

The hotel was perfect for my weekend retreat in the Cotswolds. My room was spacious and impeccably clean and convenient. The daily breakfast was very delicious and quite generous but the gem of the hotel is really the staff who are courteous, helpful, and most professional. Todo en general bien, salvo que, aunque el personal de recepción no fueron groseros, si les falta ser mas “amigables” con los turistas extranjeros. The room was lovely and cozy warm when we arrived. The service team followed through with our request for one room on the ground level to accommodate my mother who has difficulty walking up stairs AND placed a roll away bed in the second room.
