“I’m typically not a person who leaves a bad review…. But this was BAD. Our room smelled like a toilet. No water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was awful. The tables to eat breakfast were dirty. No one there wiping them off between people eating. The pool had so much chlorine it made my son sick because he couldn’t breathe. Horrible. Will pay more money elsewhere and drive further. Don’t recommend. ”

“This inn is truly a gem. It was my best stay anywhere, ever. That sounds like hyperbole, but it's not. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were very comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was excellent! And not to mention, historic charm. We will be back, and we have already booked two additional stays. ”

“The hotel needs an upgrade, I love Fairfield typically. The shower was very outdated and was hard to operate. The walls throughout the hotel and doors were very runned down. The breakfast was not great compared to what they typically have and the pool was closed! Without any warning. Also trains go by all night woke up at 11am 4am and 6 because of it not sure they can help that but wouldn't stay here again. Also smelled of weed on the first floor by the elevators. For $200 a night it's shameful……

“Additional charge for two very small yorkies was too high, $140 for two nights. Also, The floor of the room should be wet mopped between customers, as our feet became dirty if we walked barefoot in the room even from the bathroom to the bed. ”

“The room was dated but clean and had every convenience. The bed was comfortable, there were several TV channels to choose from, a nice refrigerator and microwave and even an ironing board and iron. Patrick was very friendly and accommodating and I’ll stay there again next trip. ”

“Have stayed at this property several times with excellent experiences. However, there was a noticeable difference in this stay. The entire back wall of the shower had been shattered and patched back together with epoxy. A very shabby repair and less than welcoming. Your beds are comfortable; however they were too high for my mother to get in and out off. When I requested a step stool from the desk you would have thought I had four heads. While checking out I needed to speak to someone in person.……

“I dont like leaving negative reviews but we booked this for an unexpected trip to Greenville when other hotels were booked. Lobby stays locked, you have to call someone from outside to open it. Walked in the room, took one look amd smell and walked bacl out. There was almond on the floor right as we walked on... bathtub had shaving cream on it.. bathing towels were basicslly hand towels. Room smelled of must and old cigarette smoke.. Its a great location.. but that os the only good thing. ……

“Same as last stay in 2017. Quiet surrounding with nice breakfast provided. Worth to stay.”

“The ad said that breakfast was included. My confirmation email said it was "light" breakfast. I was ok that this cost $25 more than other places with no breakfast. However, I was lured in by the breakfast and bait and switched with this supposed light one. The juice machine was broke, and the only food available was oatmeal packets. I've had places that had light breakfast but this was completely misleading and I won't ever go there again.”
