“We had a mixed experience due in part to our mistake of booking on Expedia, which resulted in us accidentally booking the budget hotel instead of the Ibis next door that we intended to stay at. We realized our mistake when we arrived and made do, but the budget hotel is really budget, especially coming from the states. The accommodations themselves are adequate, but the cleaning staff failed to replace basic toiletries and we had to go down to the front desk to request toilet paper and there was……

“This old building was so unique! The room was standard and had everything you would need. Breakfast was regal, even at an additional cost. It’s close to Mount St Michele and the street it’s on had plenty of things to walk and see or do. Parking was a bonus. Well worth the stay! The only not awesome thing was the traffic noise (because it was warm so we left the windows open) and the bar didn’t seem open. I would totally stay here again!”

“Really spacious room with duplex, suitable for family. Unfortunately we couldn’t have dinner in the restaurant on that night as it had been booked for other event. We couldn’t enjoy the night view from restaurant but we could have breakfast to enjoy the beautiful view of Mont St Michel. However, the communication between hotel was terrible. Firstly, I received a email in French only talking about the access code of carpark. I requested for an English version but no response. I used Google……

“The hotel location is very convenient, the free shuttle bus stop is just across the road. The decor is modern and the room size is good enough for two persons. The room was clean with a good size bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is no elevator at the hotel. It was a pleasant stay. ”

“The hotel is located at a great location. Very easy to access the river, bike xing, etc. There is a 'small' patio', which is only large enough for one chair. The noise from other rooms are clear to hear. Even we stay on the toppest floor, we can still hear someone walking and talking.”

Quel hôtel délocalise son petit déjeuner ailleurs (la photo est celle d'un autre établissement, il n'y aucune salle dans l'Hôtel de France !!!) Enfin ça aurait pu passer avec un peu d'eau chaude...”

I’ve traveled the world and must say, besides Giraffe Manor in Kenya, this was the most beautiful accommodations I’ve experienced. Do not hesitate to stay here if you are looking for a one of a kind experience. Also, the views of Mont St Michel from their grounds is worth the price of admission!
