“After reading previous reviews, I have to agree on the issues of cleanliness and noise from adjacent building. The place was superficially clean, but as stated in previous review, the freezer is full of mould that has obviously been there for some time. Dishcloth quite old, stained and with holes. Amenities (kitchen ones) quite basic. The mouse from the owner’s residence was quite consistent, and I did not feel comfortable about the adjoining door. Wifi practically non existent On the plus……

“Nice place for a few days to spend time away from the city. Great location to sit outside reading a book or taking the short walk down to the river. My son loved visiting the guinepig hutch and Zeus the lovely dog who decided on joining us for walkies!”

“The family vacation was suberb with fact that the Bach matched well with our expectation, nice, clean and cosy home, well equipped, close to enmities and interesting places in Masterton. Highly recommended Bach to stay! My only seggestion to the owner, please add another mirror. There is only one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom.”

“Clean tidy and modern. Only negative was booked for 4 mature women ie 70 year Olds. The roll out bed probably more suitable for child.”

“The description is 100% accurate. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful trees, very quite and private. It had everything we needed. Loved the fire, especially on the chilly evenings. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again.”

“This is the second time we've stayed at this special place. We felt very at home in the house, and appreciate that there's lots of room to spread out in. But we especially love the pool and the spa pool and made the most of them. The outdoor table area was great for spending time and eating meals. And the hosts were great, providing good instructions and making us feel welcome in their house. I hope we will be able to visit again!”

“We really enjoyed the size and beauty of this old building. Its a bit of a work in progress but still very lovely. Not often you get to stay somewhere so unique. Perfect for a large family gathering. Was perfect for us tho. Kids loved it as so many places for hide and seek - its huge. Maybe not suitable if you have very young children tho as the staircase would be a worry.”

“Its a lovely property, right next door to the hosts, who are very friendly and helpful. Master bed is a firm floor bed, which you go through to kids room. Fold out in lounge, lounge is a large room. Kids loved the glass floor in their room! We were 3 adults and 2 kids, probably more suited to 2 adults and 2 kids. We had a lovely peaceful stay. Great to hear the ruru at night :)”
