Das Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen! Schimmel im Zimmer, Klimaanlage funktioniert nur bedingt- Luft kam aber keine Kühlung. Wasserabfluss ging nur sehr langsam und das Wasser stand regelmäßig im Waschbecken und nach dem Duschen am Boden. Vorhänge zerrissen und Teppich sehr verschlissen. Wegen mangelnder Klimatisierung sehr hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Zimmer, was Handys am Laden hinderte! Das Personal war sehr bemüht und immer freundlich, auch wenn niemand auf meine Mail mit der Bitte hinsichtlich Flughafentransfer reagierte und ich die Anfahrt selbst organisieren musste.

Staff was very courteous but the hallways on the 4 th floor were dilapidated and in need of serious repairs. It’s a beautiful location and a grand colonial hotel which is a national treasure. It’s sad that the rooms and plumbing are in pretty bad shape. I would love to stay there again provided the bathrooms, tge plumbing and the hallway conditions are improved

This is far from a 4* hotel. The property is VERY run down and so many things are broken. It needs urgent repairs but nobody seems to be bothered. Staff at check in were not bothered at all, take it or leave it attitude. The doorman/porter was the only nice person. Check-in was at 2pm I arrived at 5pm waited for a hour and my room was still not ready. After 2 hours still nothing but nobody was bothered, so I went elsewhere. Overall worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

The room was clean. Bathroom and room fixtures and fittings need urgent updating. Electrical points, switches, shower were found wanting. The wooden floors in the corridors were in places in a state of disrepair. The hotel still retains its old charm and the staff are pleasant and I was impressed with the service provided.

Excellent Staff and food but the hotel is in some serious need of renovations. The owner needs to really step up and start directing some money and attention to this once great building. I was honestly surprised how poor the rooms are with damp smell, water penetration, blistering paintwork and black mold on the air conditioning ducts. Sorry not I do not recommend staying here sadly.
