“Property and room was a bit outdated. Breakfast was simple. Coffee machine was not great and wasps were annoying. WiFi did not work in room On plus side they were very welcoming and hotel pool area was nice and short walk to lovely beach”

“We did enjoy our stay at this hotel during the month of June. It was relatively quiet. The hotel is well maintained and rooms are exceptionally clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The lady that cleaned our room daily was thoughtful and did an excellent job at maintaining the hotels high standards of cleaning. The air con and the WiFi were excellent. The hotel is well situated close to the beach and restaurants. There are some lovely places to eat and our favourite was the Old……

“Beautiful location. Nothing nearby as far as restaurants go so a car is ideal. They have a shuttle few times a day that you pay one way for. There is a small pebble beach which is really gorgeous for a swim and snorkel right by the parking lot. Breakfast is nice, lots of choices. Coffee machine worked by the third day but was quite slow for the amount of people wanting coffee. So that was a little backed up every time. They had a few kettles with black coffee but only one espresso coffee……

“Das Zimmer war wie auf den Bildern, der erste Eindruck war aber viel besser. Meerblick, saubere Wohnung, alles was benötigt wird vorhanden. Handtücher werden täglich gewechselt, Top. Meine Frau und ich fühlten uns die Woche sehr wohl.”

“The hotel is beautiful and the facilities are excellent, but the service falls short of what you would expect from a luxury property. The staff were friendly enough, but often appeared disengaged and lacking direction. Around the pool, there were rarely more than 10 guests at any one time, yet staff would frequently stand around rather than proactively offering drinks, checking on guests, or bringing pool towels. Instead, guests were expected to go and ask for these things themselves. All……

“No one at front desk—a man arrived but did not speak English; we thought he was a guest but he called someone on his cell phone and handed it to me—a woman spoke with me briefly and then the man showed us to our room. Old refrigerator; door did not close, freezer was full of frost. Very few patrons; good because cheap hollow core doors shut very loudly and marble floors very noisy. We could hear two people arguing on higher floor. 3 min walk to nice beach with an attendant bringing drinks. ……

“Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 8j dans la suite honeymoon ! Ce fut encore mieux que espéré. On en prend plein la vue, c’est le cas de le dire. Quelques jours avant d’arriver nous avons pu échanger avec le personnel de Emerald. Dimitra, Irène, nous vous remercions grandement pour votre chaleureux accueil, et l’organisation de nos vacances. “Beautiful property, the suites are done to a high standard and are exceptionally clean. A lot of care is taken to mainting the property to a high standard. The staff at reception are very helpful and efficient. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to kefalonia.”
