Perhaps not the most modern property, but it was spotlessly clean, lovely staff, had everything we needed, was warm and comfortable. Also close proximity to the town centre, and also right next door to the club with friendly staff and the best club meal we've ever had. Thank you. 😊

Very good value for money. Central and within walking distance to clubs and shops, churches etc. Safe parking on site. The only weakness I experienced was keeping the dogs in the reception area. It smelt like they spend the whole there. Mind you, I love dogs, but other guests might not feel comfortable with it. Not a problem for me, just an objective comment. Thank you to the staff.

My room was a curious mix - mostly good, with just a little bad... not enough to spoil my stay. The bed was big, clean and reasonably comfy. There was everything you might need to feed yourself - fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, tea and coffee, washing-up liquid etc. It was nice to have a bath and shower and - as I was on the ground floor - my own parking spot. The small outdoor swimming pool was a bit cold but I dipped my toes in all the same! The pool had a couple of comfy loungers next to it. Each room had a little table and two chairs outside, which was a nice touch. The only downside to that is that large family groups would congregate and sit around outside someone's room, and chat until late - not great if, like me, you're the guy next door who isn't in the group and wants to get some sleep. The nights were on the cool side and the heating worked well. The worst thing for me was the bathroom, which had ceiling / wall mould in several places, cracked tiles and the enamel peeling off the bath. The bathroom was in serious need of renovations, while the rest of the room was fine. What I didn't know until I booked this stay is that Mudgee is ALWAYS busy with festivals / sporting events / weddings / misc other things, and rooms are (a) hard to find and (b) often expensive. Given that my room was only $140 per night in October, I can't bring myself to criticise it too much... it wasn't perfect but to be fair, it was really good value and I'd go back again.
