Brookside Cottage has it all! A cozy, open concept guest house with exquisite views, Brookside is perfect for a country getaway or ski base. Located in the Hills of the Headwaters, it's close to a number of conservation areas, including the Boyne and Mono Cliffs. Hiking, skiing, golfing, snowshoeing and biking are close at hand. Big skies for astronomers and astrophotography!

We offer 32 acres of wooded trails and fields for walking or snowshoeing. The area boasts a number of fine restaurants, boutiques, farmers' markets, museums and local artisans. We are 15 min from Mansfield Ski Club, Mansfield Outdoor Centre and Hockley Resort, and 60 min from Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach.

Ideal for couples, solo adventurers or a small family. Perfect for 2, the cottage sleeps a maximum of 4. We are dog friendly and welcome well behaved, socialized dogs for an additional fee of $20/night/dog.

Inside, rustic wood accents complement the modern amenities. In floor heating in shower area will keep you toasty in the winter and the new, fully stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking and is open to the living space, fireplace and entertainment area. Upstairs is a small loft and a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. (additional queen-sized double high air mattress bed or twin double high air mattress bed can be provided for children and extra guests) From every window, you'll have a view of the Mulmur Hills.

Brookside Cottage has dedicated WiFi, Satellite SmartTV, Disney Netflix, Prime (login with your account), DVD player/movies and Xbox.

Recommend snow tires/AWD/or 4x4 in winter months as the area can be blustery.

We loved every part of Brookside. It was very clean, organized,everything was available and well thought out, the grounds were beautiful, the horses were fun to pet, the gazebo and games were fun, Wi-Fi access was very good, transportation was fine once we acclimated ourselves. We look forward to going back again.

Lovely weekend spot

Lovely pace for a weekend away to unwind and have some quality time! The horses enjoyed some apples and we had fun with walks on the property and playing games from the chest of well stocked board games

Quiet Country Relaxation

Perfect stay!

Nice hidden getaway

Relaxing Getaway

Had a wonderful time at the cabin for a few days. Enjoyed the beautiful hiking trails in the area that the host (Taria) suggested. Cabin had everything you needed to make it feel like a home away from home. Loved sampling some of their homemade maple syrup from the farm. Definitely recommend!!

Quiet, clean, pleasant. Owners are amazing, extremely thoughtful and organized. Tons of amenities that help make your experience a comfortable one. The grounds are excellent for taking a nice stroll (bring apples for the horses!).

Another Great Stay

This was our third stay at Brookside, as always sparkling clean cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. The dogs loved running around the property and sitting beside the horses as we gave them some carrots. This is a must place to visit if you just want to get away for a few days. We'll be back in the spring.

Beautiful Retreat

Wonderful, Peaceful Country Oasis

We had a fantastic stay as part of our "baby-moon" before the arrival of our little one. The cottage was clean and outfitted with everything you'd need - nothing was overlooked! We loved walking the trails with our dog and were fortunate enough to have Taria and her pup Ava join for us for a good runaround. Thank you Taria, we had a wonderful time!

Well kitted out cottage and friendly host

We stayed at Taria’s cottage with our two kids and had a wonderful time. The cottage is very well stocked with everything you need for a country getaway. Loads of board games, blankets to snuggle under by the fire, slippers, hot cocoa, etc. It’s a charming cottage on a beautiful property. My kids also enjoyed meeting the horses.

Second time staying at the Brookside Cottage. Beautiful place to be and really gives you a chance to unwind. Taria is a fabulous host and always respects your privacy. Cutest Country Cottage

Where to begin... the cottage is so cute. Its the perfect size for a couples getaway. The host, Taria, puts so many detailed touches that make you feel right at home. We stayed with our dog and utilized the MANY trails around the property for morning walks. Such a beautiful area. We would highly recommend Brookside Cottages.

Beautiful retreat in the woods

This cozy cabin was a beautiful quiet retreat. Everything you need is on-site including an incredibly well-appointed cabin and peaceful hiking trails. If you do require assistance or have any questions, Taria responds in record time. Lastly, our dog was treated like royalty and loved the surprise treats. Thank you so much to Taria and Dietrich. Clean and cozy

Taria was wonderful and welcoming. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Her pups are inquisitive and energetic. Defiantly bring a couple of bundles of carrots or apples for the horses. They are are eager to be your friend. The property has lovely trails and there are near by trails too. If you like to hike defiantly check out the Mono Cliffs (reservation req.) and Splitrock Narrows (free) especially the Narrows Side Trail.
