This was a horse rescue barn that we have turned into a home on the inside, it still has stall doors in some areas. We have blackout curtains in upstairs and downstairs bedroom area to keep the sun out if needed. We love the sound of the rain on the metal roof and the sound of peace and quiet most of the time. We are on 28 acres and there are trails on the property great for walking, mountain biking or four wheeling, some are even wide enough for a Jeep! We are not far from many hiking trails, whitewater rafting, waterfalls, lakes, the Harrah's Casino in Murphy and downtown shopping in little mountain towns. Large windows upstairs are great for viewing wildlife, we love to watch deer and turkey from there. We also enjoy the escape from technology we do have internet via Starlink it is satellite based so bad weather may affect signal strength, we have very little cell phone reception on the property (depends on your carrier and you can log onto Wi-Fi for better cell service) No cable TV but we get many channels on an antenna and have Roku for streaming shows. We have a lot of movies, indoor and outdoor games so no one is ever bored. It is a great place to spend quality time with family and friends.

Linda's surprise 60th birthday girls weekend
We had such a great time! The house/barn was perfect for our group of ladies. We surprised a special friend for her 60th birthday! We had plenty of room to play our games! The table was big enough for us to be able to all eat together. The house was super stocked with everything we needed, and the host/owner was so sweet! She made sure we had everything we needed. She kept a great line of communication open, and she even left our birthday girl a sweet gift! Thank you so much!!!!!!

Christmas in the Mountains
The stay here at the Barn in Murphy was soooo fun! Wendy and Ken have thought of everything and we felt comfortable. Very kid friendly with lots of games and activities to do. We had a fantastic time with plenty of space for sleeping and the giant table was so nice to enjoy meals together. Thanks for a memorable Christmas!

Amazing place. This is our second time visiting.
This property is amazing I highly recommended for families parties or just relax the ATV trails are very friendly for kids or you can use them to walk around in the property very quiet great place for kids to unplug from the normal life they have Internet you don’t have to tell your kids that but you can definitely get some work done if needed The property owner is amazing. It’s always accommodating my family + friends you will not be disappointed

Excellent getaway for large group
Our family rented this place for Thanksgiving. It was perfect for our group of 13. It was well laid out and everything you needed was there. It is secluded and quiet. The hosts were great to deal with. I would definitely recommend it and will probably be returning again in the future.

Amazing place
If you want to get your kids off the phone for a couple days and have them enjoy the outdoors (A lot of deers)or just simply talk to each other this is definitely the place to be there it was a Lotta love building this place with family and friends in mind. you can bring your ATV’s they have some trails on the property for experienced drivers definitely easy for beginners definitely fun
My 11 year old daughter enjoyed the driving everywhere on the property

It was perfect!
First, I want to say that Wendy was a sweetheart! We had some complications and she was more than helpful and understanding. The barn was beautiful, clean and stocked up with EVERYTHING. Most places we've stayed in only had a few pots, cleaning supplies etc but they had it all! We were able to cook all we wanted and had the tools to do it with. We were very happy with this place and have already started to plan another family trip. Thank you Wendy!
