There aren’t very many options of places to stay while you’re in Murphy’s unless you want to go into Angels Camp or Arnold, but I do think that of the options available this one is a better option. The space was quite clean, large and spacious. We had everything we needed. It is a bit outdated. It’s nice that they give you the option of donuts or a breakfast burrito in the morning, nothing fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it was nice. As far as the staff, we only encountered 2 people, there was a man at checkout who was very kind and friendly, and made our checkout incredibly simple. However, there was an older blonde woman that was there when we checked in, she came off as a bit rude, and not even the slightest bit friendly. In fact, in that moment, we considered not staying, but we took a breath and a moment, and went upstairs to our room and ended up having a really nice evening.

Rooms are clean, great water pressure in shower and the staff is friendly. Beds are ok but after a full day of outdoor adventures we slept real good. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great stay at a cozy place! The staff were excellent and the location was good, offering small town vibes at the base of the mountains. The pillows could use a little more fluff but otherwise it was a nice stay.

Newer hotel building built in 2002 with many rooms and fair prices. Check in was friendly, quick and easy. Rooms are large, clean, and well insulated against outside noise. Room style is a little outdated but still in good condition and the hotel is a mile or 2 from downtown action on Murphy's Main street. Pool was open on Feb, large and clean. Lovely large hot tub outside under the stars. Very limited exercise room. On site laundry machines available to guests. A lot of parking that's free. There's a gas station with convenience foods very close-walking distance. No breakfast but they deliver fresh made mini cake donuts or a frozen bean burrito, and small oj, in the morning. Rooms have coffee machine and lobby has fresh coffee, cream and other options for snacks. Would recommend while staying in Murphy's.
